who HONESTLY needs an E-maxx that'll run over 40 mph??? a single 550 size brushless would be enough for 95% of people that would buy it.

BlackedOutREVO 10.25.2007 09:27 PM

Thats what I was wondering

I dont know when I bashed, I ever got over 30, with my FLM pede lol..... Let alone a bigger beast

40 is enough for me

coolhandcountry 10.25.2007 09:49 PM

Well you always have people going for faster speeds. :)

rootar 10.25.2007 11:22 PM

they are the 5% i was talking about! lol

its cool to run it up the road once or twice while bashing around but speed isnt everything id rather have a truck that topped out at 30 with flip over backwards instant power over a truck that can do 50 but lugs around in the lower rpms

suicideneil 10.26.2007 08:13 AM

Hmm, the speed vs bashing thing is a very valid point. That said, I am in the 5% catergory here- my 'bash' site is a large open park which is 99% flat, so speed is more useful to me & more exciting. If I had a nice bash site with lots of hills, ditches, small jumps etc, I would just stick with the Hv6.5 as thats plenty for that purpose. All depends on the intended use of the truck really....

coolhandcountry 10.26.2007 07:50 PM

Well I have a large area.
I can go fast without ever seeing asphalt.
I also have an area that is nice to climb hills.
Has a few jumps around. I don't use the hv.
I like the neu quark setup more. Longer battery life.

rchippie 10.26.2007 07:54 PM

Leroy is the president of the 5% club .

rootar 10.26.2007 08:29 PM

i think over half this site is in that %5 lol

JERRY2KONE 10.27.2007 05:36 PM

The Need For Speed.

Actually a good balance of both is the best way to go. At least one vehicle that can run with the devil (say 50 to 60mph:surprised:) is a must, and the rest for quality control driving on the track is what wins races. So why not have both:yipi:?

suicideneil 10.27.2007 06:08 PM

Indeed. All that needs to be done to tame a super fast/powerful setup is to reduce the voltage and therefore the rpms, and adjust gearing to match I would have thought. Power up for speed running, and power down for racing & bashing in tight areas.

The transmission seems interesting.

Wow, look at this great deal http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=120176565920 :diablo:

mkrusedc 10.28.2007 01:27 AM

The only time I go faster than that is in empty parking lots or grass fields. I prefer more off-roading, and in that case even 35 mph is very very fast and can cause wrecks easy. My truck is geared for low 40s now w/ tons of accel and its perfect for me.
