I would love to go. :/ Can I go up there any day of the week and use the track? I'm up there quite often, in fact, I was up that way today.

Whoa we posted at the same time.

Bingo, it is 1/10th scale truggy out of the box, I owuld imagine it would be comparable to stretched CRT .5's?

Anyone mind if I run this in the 1/12 class?

So just for confirmation, does anyone have a problem with me running this thunder tiger in the 1/12th class?

Since I had the Dremel out to MOD my Mamba Monster, I decided to MOD my MBX5T to see if I could fit the Neu 1515/2Y finned without trying to grind the heat sink further. I had to cut the chassis just beneath where the motor goes, grind down the bearing support and that was it. I used a nice little mask to protect me from carbon fiber dust, but forgot to use a long sleeve shirt and now my arms itch like crazy. Well it worked out good. I love the Dremel. I changed my gearing from a 15/48 to a 17/48 to get some more top speed. So I went up from 35mph to 40mph. I hope temps stays down. I'm going to do a test run tomorrow to see how it goes. I'm also going to take my 1515/1.5Y and my first version ESC too incase I need a back up.

how is the weather holding up? Trying to figure out if it is worth the risk... will be driving 11 hours on Saturday to get there. Too far to drive for a rain out.

AutoXMan 09.26.2008 01:09 PM

Hard to say as of yet, forceast looks like the rain will subside by Sunday, but again hard to tell.

E-Revonut 09.26.2008 04:00 PM

The Weather channel is saying rain in the morning and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Not looking good! Unless that changes drastically I will be staying at home!

I just talked to Tony Screws about the race, track and current weather there. It looks very bad from the Atlantic and the entire region. The forecast is only predicting worse conditions. Doug and I are gonna skip the trip from Michigan for this event from the latest news.

lutach 09.26.2008 04:59 PM

Next weekend looks much better and the temps looks to be the same.

Finnster 09.26.2008 05:04 PM

Here in Cent NJ the rain has been steady but light. Not too bad, but I'm going up there regardless, so I'll give it a go. I'll talk to my father in law who lives in Chester to see how it is "on the ground" Craptastic weather either way ..... :(

hey im 1 miles from the barn and it rained all day. . it didnt rain as hard as they said it was going to. ill keep u informed. would like to see a pefect race day and my vote is for another date? we shal see.

The weather is looking pretty sketchy for Sunday - the forecast seems to have gotten worse rather than better as the day went on(Friday). No telling what we are up against, but I don't want to race in the rain for sure.
I am open for a reschedule if needed (though the season is ending pretty quick, so it would need to be pretty soon). The other option is to (unofficially)move the location to Long Island Raceway - they have an indoor track that is pretty decent. They have regular racing on Sundays, so it wouldn't be "The Bash" tecnically, but at least all us brushless guys could race each other and hang out.
This is tough luck, unfortunately. Each year, we get folks from pretty far away for this race and it is always a treat to have a bunch of brushless guys at the same place and same time.

I suppose it really depends on a few things...what Sunday's are available at the barn? Their site is down but what I recall from the schedule is that next week (5th) is the RCMTRA Worlds at the Barn, that day is out, the following weekend (12th) has nothing at the Barn and may be a reschedule date if possible. The next week (19th) is Lou's Half Fast Gas Blast so that weekend is out too. I have a feeling that if you want it at the Barn, we may either have to shoot for the 12th OR do our special rain dance. I can hear Blind Melon in the background...
