A pair of good 7 cells should get you 30 mph.

 wow this post is getting long

Several good questions here - it would help others with similar questions or comments if you start a new post when you change tracks. This also makes it easier to point out a specific reply or question with good information.

BTW - I get several emails that I point to this forum - Thanks guys

cool.... so just get the chasis and shocks first and not the brushless system then?

rc4x4nut 02.26.2005 08:18 PM

Yes and dont forget the 7 cell batteries. Mike can hook you up with everything.

i know... Mike is awesome dude.. very kind

well.. i have to wait till i sell my tmaxx before i buy the emaxx stuff and the emaxx... powerstrokes are double the price of them worth it?

toby 02.26.2005 09:11 PM

so i might just buy all the parts i need to build a truck at once and build a truck without buying a stock emaxx guys... what you think of that?

RC-Monster Mike 02.26.2005 10:11 PM

That is the best way to do it , if you have the cash up front. I have the powerstroke shocks now, too. I will try to get them listed on the site soon.

SWEET MAN.. if i am going to buy everything i need to make like a truck but a roller (no motor, controller, or radio gear) we will see if i will have enough.. how much woudl it cost and what wouldi all need?

RC-Monster Mike 02.26.2005 10:38 PM

Chassis
Extension for chassis (not needed, but recommended)
cvds (front and rear)
Suspension
Aluminum knuckles
center shafts
bulkheads
diff cases
diff cups
spider gears
shocks
transmission
idler gear for transmission
wheel hexes
wheels/tires
bumpers (optional - I don't use them but some do)

It is tough to give a price, as there are several options to choose from (Integy, Proline, RDLogics, FastLane, G-maxx, MIP, etc.). If you choose what you want, I could nail down a price. If you want me to choose what you want, I could do that, too.

i know i want GMAXX chasis and suspension and the rest you can pick and i will say what i think about them.. powerstrokes also i want

RC-Monster Mike 02.26.2005 10:45 PM

Everything in silver, or would you like some Blue parts?

toby 02.26.2005 10:51 PM

hmm.. well if you are suggesting integy.. i heard there stuff bends easy.. if not count me in

RC-Monster Mike 02.26.2005 10:54 PM

I am not suggesting anything, per say. Merely trying to determine what your tastes are. Some of the Integy stuff is prone to bending, while other stuff isn't. I personally use the Integy stuff because it is the lightest aluminum stuff around (except G-maxx). The fastLane bulks are stronger for sure. The diff cases don't take a beating, though, so the blue Integy diff cases may well suit your tastes and will be plenty strong. See what I am getting at?

toby 02.26.2005 10:56 PM

ya i do.... i would like some blue just to accent the truck a little more.. that may look very cool...
