I have one question about the castle link options though -
The brake curve does not seem to alter the brake operation, only reverse. Is it possible
to set a curve for the brake? (always come on too hard for me) The tab says 'brake curve'
but the graph says brake/reverse and I can tell only reverse is different when driving it.

Anyone??

even if you put the curve lowest possible....ive try this and ive got a very smooth braking...and what about your % brake level???

GT35R 11.02.2008 11:04 PM

I'm using 50% brake and a very exaggerated exponential type curve.
With this reverse does almost nothing till the trigger is pushed far back but the
brakes still come on too hard with a light push.

Soooo... has anyone else tried playing around with the brake curve and had success
or otherwise?

Monster V3

I ran my Hyper 7 with a 25 tooth pinion, 4S 6K Polyrc lipo, 1515 1.5D Neu and Monster V3, it cogs a little at slow speed. but when you pull the trigger it goes. The V3 was taking it with no problem after one charge. I need a bigger parking lot for speed run. I also talked to CC tech and they said to watch for motor temps but the ESC should take it with no problems.

I had the same problem. i had to change the curve on my radio and bring the epa down to about 75-80% to get it smooth..

A little warning to others. I drove 3 laps on track, the esc case opened on a jump landing and i didnt notice. On second landing it "died", but luckily i got it working (guess nothing was really broken _yet_). But be sure its closed properly, breaks easily if the case is open and some parts hit the bottom of the case or some other part of the car. I didnt open it before using, so it was straight outta box and a bit loose.

so my 4 mmmv3 still alive after 2 hours on each unit!!!!!!:mdr::whip:seriously castle i can just say wowow...for all...the service..the communication..and for the mmmv3!!!:yes:im not anxious about the fact that the v3 should be have a long life

Hehe, tested today the short circuit of motor wires. :) Damn china XL-motor short circuited. Some balancing thing came off of the axle inside the motor and went between coil and magnet -> short circuit. ESC seems to be just fine. So we can trust what Patrick said about the heatsink short circuit, it doesnt matter if it happens.

new review....simply the best esc that i ever buy:yipi:all my 4 unit still going strong:whip:4 hour on each one:party:nothing else to say:rules:the wooootest temps that the esc reach is 97f on 6 cell lipo and a 1515 1y after 30 minute of street bashing and speed pass(at 10deg celcius)and my v1 unit run flawlessly after 50 hours...and the 1.20 software update

good job cc:party::yes:

e-mike 03.09.2009 06:16 AM

so after 5 month ...only one stop (one of my seven unit)working yesterday:yes:i landing a little jump(land on the snow not really hard)and the lit come off the unit....at this time a lite piece of the principal board of the mmm detach and the truck stop running... only the sterring was working..no power (time to have the traxxas holding esc)so im really lucky i founded the little piece and i reweilded and the unit work flawlesly.....:whip:
