Happy Ho Ho

Wow, great xmas...

this is what i got :

Old servo..

Ds 1015

Wiring Etc
Im swapping over to all Ec5 connectors- i love them, soo much easier to soder then deans-dont require heatshrink if done right and offer a bit more surface area to pull them apart... the only thing is that the connectors housings are easy to mix up.... My entire setup is flip-flopped...
Made a simple series harness out of excess wire from my MMM- i can easily swap it out for a deans pug or whatever I may need.

RCM-lipos
WOW!:surprised: These packs have some balls! 145amps of continuous goodness... soo much power that my diff case seperated from wheelies.... after a cleanup and a rebuild i was at it again. These packs are night and day difference compared to my zippies- the only con is that they are heavier.

trev3813 12.25.2008 04:14 PM

very nice ben!!

brushlessboy16 12.25.2008 04:18 PM

Thanks trev.. also got a new wing! makes the truck look pretty:)

One quirk i have found with the RCM 2s's is the not-so-standard thunderpower balance tap, I ended up taking the indidual connectors our of the TP housing and pluging them into my charger/balancer manually..

I just thought that I would share my Cen Matrix Buggy conversion (not fancy), but I did read someone (Brushlessboy) here thinking of what CORR Hybrid look would do to it...so here are some PICS.

brushlessboy16 01.04.2009 11:10 AM

wow that looks really good! But i have the truggy ;) Where'd you get those piggyback shock caps from?

The caps were the caps from the CEN GENESIS, and a hardware kit. I got the numbers from CEN SUPPORT. I do not still have the email from them as reference. (I should keep that stuff)

brushlessboy16 01.04.2009 11:28 AM

Were they a direct fit for the matrix?

JesseV 01.04.2009 11:49 AM

My Matrix Buggy has now the new MEdusa 70mm 2300kV motor, its pretty amazingly better than the china motors. :D

Tests on track: (posted on medusa thread too)

Configs on MMM:

Data:
http://jesi.5cyl.net/RC/tmp/jezze/ampvolt.JPG
http://jesi.5cyl.net/RC/tmp/jezze/watti.JPG

The average amp ~10A was surprisingly low imo, and the peak amp of less than 90A too. So with a Zippy 4s 5000mAh lipo I get at least 20min run time on the track. Maybe even 30min.

Yes. It was direct, and easy. As a bonus even the plastic was the same color. Makes it look factory.

I found the part numbers:

Resivoir: (2) GS233
Small Parts: (1) GS065

trev3813 01.05.2009 08:01 AM

Nice tires Ben, the wing looks good to, I got hole shots on my revo.

BL_RV0 01.05.2009 10:15 AM

Looking good dude. Why not set up the truck for saddle packs?

I plan to set up for saddles. I ordered a smaller spur so I can flip the diff and put the motor up front-across from the servo. I have a second set of the losi Trays on the way (the flat bottomed onefits but the other does not) so when all the stuff arrives it will be saddled. I just need to find a place to put the Bigass MMM now...

BL_RV0 01.05.2009 07:49 PM

Here is what I did when I ran saddle packs (if it helps at all)

BL_RV0 01.05.2009 07:50 PM

Different angle:

brushlessboy16 01.05.2009 08:08 PM

Yeah matrix is a bit different, no chassis brace that blocks the lipo's, and its alot longer so i can get packs in there nice :)

The lipos are the size of a standard 6c pack so im probably gonna lay them down on the chassis... still need to find where im gonna put the MMM

Metallover 01.05.2009 08:12 PM

Will you still have room to stick it behind the motor? I say get creative if that doesn't work. Ive mounted rx's and esc's everywhere. Places include in the front bumper, above the wing, below the wing, and the oddest places above motors and servos. You can't just mount a mmm anywhere, but I'm sure you'll find a spot.
