Easy software change i think... Not sure about the HW end though...

I'm pretty sure they use the same chip on most controllers so should be able to add the extra entry using the memory map from another controller...

If one goes to rcgroups in the Castle thread, they are talking about the advantages of HV. If the MMM would've been HV, Castle would be ahead of the Euro giants.

No big suprise, we've been promised dates before. This waiting game is nothing new.

I did say a while back that the earliest we should expect anything was mid-april and that was if things went as planned. They admitted that the motors were not done and they didn't have the boards yet.

Every time this thread is updated, I get my hopes up, only to have them dashed again.

Why is all this news taking place on forums other than this one? There are 21 pages of ideal, target market customers here. Anyway this latest news is awful. I'm sure like many folks right about now I take my RC goodies out from their winter slumber and get them all ready for the upcoming racing season. In years past my local track starts racing in April and I had hoped to have MMM enabled vehicles ready by then. Once I have something in my truck I'll run it till the smoke gets out I'm sure lots of folks are the same way. If the MMM is delayed, it will lessen the impact it can have, lower sales, shame.

I my self am really really upset as well. Money in hand ready to drop on the system and still I wait, and wait, and wait. I had talked personally in the past months to Joe and Bernie and had no problem finding out the info about the MMM in conversation. Joe was even kind enough to come on here and speak to everyone about this release and dynamics. But once again here we are even after appreciation was sent to the guys for thier efforts. Waiting for the World Premier release of something that will only be made available when they want to release it. Now I cant say all bad things about Castle, But I gotta kinda believe that 50% of the hold back limit is true, Including when I have emailed them 3 times about this with no responce and I can not get through with a phone call.

What gets me is they are intentionaly holding back for a trade show when just about everyone whom this is geared for is either on here on RC Monster, or on Nitrokillers. Im sorry Joe and gang, but us faithfull Castle guys are getting tierd of the lies and put off dates just so you can show off your work at a trade show that you cant even buy it at!

If anything us guys who have been waiting in the dark putting up with this should get something for our patience.

That would make sense if it were a surprise product... or something that was ahead of schedule. But there's no way they continue the pain for their customer base... intentionally.

Man, this is just ridiculous. I don't believe for a second that it's deliberate... but what Castle need to do is stop giving us "hopefully" dates and give us a solid, definite, worst-case-scenario-will-be-out-by-then date. I just don't know what else to say.

Last week my lhs was asking me about my Novak HV setup because they want to have something to offer people until the MMM comes out, which the owner heard might not be until August! :-(

Nay, six weeks is MUCH better than six years.

CC really needs to figure out how to manage a project. I would have lost my job LONG ago if i had all these dates come and go on a high profile project and still had nothing delivered.

All I can hope for now is that it will be out by my birthday in July... Lets hope for the best.

Well its not just CC either, it seems all electronics manufactures these days say one thing referring to release dates, and then do not provide the goods as expected. I'm not sure if its arrogance, structure, or just lack of commitment. Things do happen, but come on, pick a date a year or so off from official release date and if it comes out early then you've made people very happy, if its close to the date given, well, thats ok too. Just dont tease us with pics and spy video (Tekin/MMM) at the hobby shows and web sights. I just dont get how the MMM got pushed back, to what has it been 3yrs now since official announcement and then this little sidewinder pops out of nowhere (I do own 2), That just shows me CC's priority level. At this point I think we all should email CC into oblivian if its not out within the next month "expected" release of April-May! :diablo:

Well I agree with most of what you said! But keep in mind that although CC is a big company in RC they really are still a relatively small company. If everyone starts e-mailing them it will take more time to deal with all the e-mails which will either pull someone away that could be doing something useful to getting the MMM out asap or they'll have to hire an extra person to deal with them which could only increase the MSRP when it is actually released! I am part of a mid sized company like CC, although not the same field, and I have been part of a small company....From what I have heard CC is having problems with suppliers of the parts they need, therefor CC is not soley to blame. After all this said, I do believe they should give a realistic date or they should have kept things under tighter wrap until it was ready!!!

Now it's up to 3 yrs waiting? :sarcastic: :whistle:
