7,10,3 for diff fluids
50wt w/ Green on front shocks
35wt w/ Black on rear shocks

She runs great and I was owning the nitro's today!

Sweet, thanks for posting up your setup. Still playing around with my setup. 50wt with green springs seems pretty stiff. What type of trac/surface do you run on?

Well I disconnected my CC BEC today from the MMM and ran it for 20 minutes of speed runs up and down the street and the MMM is still alive. Still have the fan in there with the broken blades and the ESC was around 95F after 20 minutes. The fan still blows some air however. Had to stop after 20 minutes to get ready for night shift

I put a bec on my 5th MMM (3rd v2) and it works perfectly. I would keep it on there until we know the problems are sorted.

How much does it cost to send the MMM back to Castle from Australia and do you know how long it was till they recieved it?

20-25 bucks registered but not express. express was closer to 35 if i remember correctly (for a MM)

Drift_Buggy did the mount you have your MMM on come with the kit? Any problems with clearance when the body it on? I need to come up with something different for my 8ight. The body sits right on top of the fan I have on my mm. From the first picture in your thread it doesn't look to have too much of a bend more like an angle down towards the chassis. Is that right? Thanks.

Yeah, the top plate comes with the RCPD kit. It can be bought seperate aswell. I'll have to check if it does clear the body when I get home. Can't remember if it does or doesn't as the race roller body came precut so there is a hole there for the nitro engine.

I used my dremel tool and cut that 'esc stand' stand down basically in half. I used the current wire routing notches as the new height and trimmed it all the way around at that height. Then I made a few more custom notches on my lowered plate and also flattened the three screw downs for the personal transponder on the bottom side and I just used some 3m heavy duty two-way tape to hold the transponder in place. PERFECT FIT!

Sorry I took so long to reply. By the looks of it the cornor of the fan cover will just hit the body but the instruction manual for the esc kit said you can bend the plate down more to clear the body.

Thanks. I have a friend that owns a sign shop. He gives me the scrap lexan leftovers. I tried to make one similar to the one you have. The first attempt didn't get the esc low enough. The second one got the job done. I'm working on a battery tray made from lexan. Using the toarch to bend it into shape. First couple looked like something you'd bring home from 1st grade made out of clay. Is it an ashtray or a coin holder? Thanks for the build thread. I've looked it over a lot since I started thinking buggy. It's helped a lot.

Nice work, looks pretty neat

DRIFT_BUGGY 10.24.2008 05:14 AM

Done a few changes to the buggy. Now running a Airtronics MX3 2.4ghz and throttle response is so much better with 2.4ghz. Have also changed the diff fluid from 5/10/3 to 7/10/3 and changed the MMM settings to 70% Punch Control. It seems to accelerate faster but I think that it is due to the diff fluid as I changed the MMM settings 1st and didn't notice much but after changing the diff fluid it ran better. Have now updated the MMM software to 1.2 and removed the Ext. BEC but haven't taken it for a good run yet

DRIFT_BUGGY 10.25.2008 11:50 PM

Got to finally take my buggy for a run but only in the street and the backyard. Didn't get a chance to take it to the track. It's nice not having a Ext. BEC, alot less wires. The MMM ran great with the new software. No issues at all. Only got a chance to ran it for about 1 hour until i got hungry and had to go get a pizza. The MMM temp was 120F and that is with a fan with only 3 blades.
I managed to get a set of 4 Losi Yellow Wheels and Step Pin tires for $15US off ebay which is nice as my current tires don't have much tread left.
