i suppose cause its kinda self explainatory(sp? lol) like if you buy an arm then its kinda obvious lol, but sometimes im brain dead and need the obvious things pointed out. Plus i think instructions make the company seem more professional.

The instructions on their site is a good idea!

your gonna ruin a 12 dollar pinion with that spur. you need a hardened pinion if you run a steel spur. you could get a emaxx spur from rrp. the come in 66 and 70 tooth i think.

I guess I could run the stock for now. Do you know this for sure?

Thanks for the help.

I have ran a reg pinion on a metal spur. Yes it wears out real fast. The metal shaving are attracted to the magnet in the motor to. just to point that out.

Thanks. Since I can only get the 5mm from east coast, I run plastic. I am going to start 66 18 with 12 cells and take it from there.

Parts are on the way - I can't wait to get this thing up and running.

Do the angle mounted servos cause any problems with setting up the steering and such?

I'm a total newb. I've just had really bad luck with breaking stuff. I just broke my stock chassis last night hitting a sidewalk at about half speed. I don't get it. Does the angle mounting cause any problems with aluminum servo skidplate clearance or anything?

Will standard bodies fit the extended chassis without looking too bad?

Does the FLM only come with one driveshaft?

I would really like to get a replacement ASAP so I can transfer everything to a new chassis this weekend if possible. Just two more questions:

Are the chassis braces dimensions different from the stock? I have a full center skidplate that won't work right if the braces are different angles and such.

Does this chassis lower the batteries like the Gorillamaxx chassis do? I really like the groud clearance I have right now with the stock

Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure I have all the info I need before I shell out the $$. I want to make sure it will be a pretty straight forward conversion without TOO many hangups, LOL. Thanks in advance for all of you guy's help.

squeeforever 02.28.2006 10:27 PM

the angle wont cause any troubles. you will just have to relign it and such. your servo skid should work fine.

im not sure but it wont be to bad although proline makes an extended for such things.

the flm only comes with one since the rear is extended and not the front.

if you order it ASAP mike might be able to get it to you by at least saturday.

yes, the chassis braces are different and im not sure if your skid will work.

no and yes. the chassis was made to were you can mount them on top like most or on bottom for a lower cg if you want.

it should be pretty straight forward and you shouldnt have any troubles getting it together.

by the way, welcome to forums! you will certainly learn alot from here as all of us have and you will like it here im sure. its the best forum for brushless infor there is!

coolhandcountry 02.28.2006 10:30 PM

It only comes with the rear shaft. The stock front one will work.

Mike has some extended bodies to fit the extended chassis. The stock looks alittle funny cause it is short.

The center skid is not going to work on the flm unless it is only mounted right under the tranny.

The batteries are mounted hi like on a stock chassis.

I had no problems with the angled servos just have to adjust the linkages some.

sorry for the bad luck on stock. The flm is much stronger than the stocker.

squeeforever 02.28.2006 11:14 PM

coolhand, cant the batteries be mounted on the bottom for a lower cg?

IndyEMaxx 03.01.2006 05:37 AM

Are the better battery hold downs available yet?

How do you mount the antenna if there is no hole for it?

VWT4 03.01.2006 07:31 AM

I have the FLM extended chassis and itīs GREAT!!! :004:

The GorillaXL Straps fits perfect.
