I've received my Hybrid Diff, but the pinion has straight gears, not helical as shown on the pictures.
What about it ?
Is it reliable as the other one ?

both have there cons and pro's, if they are 43/13 those dont exist helical cut i think. but it's not weaker or so, just different.

The picture shows the "truggy" ratio, which has a high helical pitch on the ring and pinion gears. The "buggy" diffs also have a slight helical pitch(look close, they do have a slight curve), but it is not nearly as noticeable. You won't likely have any difference in overall reliability - the major difference is in the final drive ratio.
These are tough to keep in stock at the moment - getting and modifying the pinions is proving to be the biggest challenge. I should have the V2 ready in another week, which will accept standard(un modified) diff pinions with custom bearings and will include an 8mm drive cup. The V2 will also accept most 1/8 diffs(kyosho, ofna, Hot Bodies, etc.), so the cases can be sold seperately without the pinions.
These aren't a cheap product to manufacture, either. The shafts are custom made, the cases are of course custom made(and required loads of work to complete), the bearings are custom made(last batch and future batches receive the flanged bearings with a rubber seal on the outside for optimum protection and metal shield on the inside for lowest resistance). Lots of time and work is required to put these together - the good news is that these will likely be the last diff upgrade you need for the Revos(1/8 diff set - $250...finishing the race without blowing your diffs - priceless)!

Well, diff oil choice obviously depends on the performance you are looking for.
Try something like 7K/25K/3K (front/center/rear... if you have a centerdiff) and go from there.

You may want keep track conditions in mind as well. Now if you're just bashing, go with some thick stuff front and back.

Any word on the V2 cases?

I've just finished putting mine together tonight and am so impressed I just had to post something.
The quality is spot on (mine fit together very SNUG), as is the value for money. The machine work that has gone into these diffs is plain to see.......how do you machine a hardened pinon anyway??. :024:
I too needed a couple of shims behind the pinion (the same as any other diff i have owend) and if you love yours as much as i do then a set of helicoils for the case threads is a worth while job.

I was touting these diffs on another forum, with some Nitro Revo owners. They were all adamant that the stock diffs were up to the job and there was no need for 8th diffs in a Revo............speaks volumes dont you think:005:
