GorillaMaxx360, what do you have to do to fit the Savage spur onto the E-Maxx tranny?
|
basically it is the same setup as the stock slipper assembly, the only difference is where the Emaxx spur, pegs and metal washer is, are the savage gear, savage bushing, and the savage slipper pads. does that help
|
Ah cool so it IS a drop in. Is the bushing included with the spur?
|
yeah no mods, the bushing and pads are included with spur
|
Cool, gotta check it out.
What's the part number of the Revo lock washers? |
i am not sure they come alone(they might but not sure).i got them with the slipper rebuild kit.

GorillaMaxx360 your truck is looking absolutely fabulous- congrats on the patience, work and build time. I am so sorry to hear about the Quark. Good luck getting it fixed. I look forward to more news- and some video of this beast!!
|
i talked to quark and they told me to send it in with some gearing info and setup info. well se what happens from there. i am hoping for the best.
|
Hope.
That is all any of us can do is make the effort and hope for the best. You never know what might happen, you may just get lucky enough to recover with a new setup. Even if that requires some small payment that is better than nothing. Every event is a learning experience. Good luck and let us know how it turns out for you. We all want to see a successful project for you.

Thanks for the link. They are looking alike. Why did you change out the FlexTeks? More shock position options?

Hey everyone. It has been a long time since i have posted on this thread but some might still be interested in some progress becuase the truck is actually quite different then the last pictures. But the good news is that the car is finally finished and is up and running well. Here are some pictures the first pictures are the oldest and the last ones are the most up to date as of 2 or 3 days ago.
Here are the older ones. These first ones are pictures of the mount i made for my soon to come MMM. http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...P1010002-1.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...0/P1010003.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...P1010005-3.jpg When the long awaited MMM Arrived. BTW-I chose not to use the mount so the esc would be closer to the chassis becuase the wires recieved more clearence that way. http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...0/DSCF0105.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...0/DSCF0099.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...0/DSCF0086.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...0/DSCF0085.jpg |

Here are the current up to date pictures. I went with the true tracks because i wanted something more indestructable and i had problems with the rear turnbuckles snapping off, therefore changing my toe in during a race which made it hard to drive straight. I also swapped out the titanium pins for the jd carbon pins and i am very pleased with that decision. Also you see that i switched to rpm hubs beucase the machining on the integy ones are not up to par, and i broke 2 stock hubs during testing. I also learned how bad the mip cvds are i snapped one at the ball joint during testing so i just switched to sliders which are giving me no problems. The tires where also taped and balanced and the car was lowered and equiped with rpm skid plates. After all this was done i did lose a bit of bling but i recieved the best of both worlds between performance and durability. After all of this i raced at my local shop and swepted a few crts, and revos but 3 or 4 laps and never reached half throttle. This vehichle is amazing and these small simple changes that where less expensive really paid off. O and lastly, i must say that the biggest difference in my cars handling by far was made by taping the tires. It went from handling like a lowered emaxx to a ripping truggy. i highly recommend taping the tires it makes a huge difference. Alright enough of the rambling here are the last of the pictures. P.S. MMMV2 still running strong.(49/17 gearing running 1515 1y on 4s lipo true rc 6400 15c packs. Temps motor after 30min highest 160 but stayed between 125-145 and esc fan only came on once at the end of the run estimated runtime about 27-35min)
