I assume that the stock knucks are plenty stout. I use the stock knuckles on my rc18 with alloy c hubs seems to be the tightest fit, yet remaining smooth operation. Is this a similar case here?

The Proline buggy 2.2 wheels have to much of an offset to fit they hit the lower a arms the 2.2 Asc truck wheels need a little triming on the ribs inside the wheel to clear when turning I have not ran the larger truck tires because I dont think the steering servo can handle them I burned up a servo with the Jaco RC10t foams already to much grip I guess?

I have broken 2 rear hubs and cracked the dust shield on the front C hubs the steering knuckles have held up fine though that and the brittle ball ends are the only weak spots I have found in the CRT.5. :)

How often you run yours IBJAMMIN?

On average about a pack or 2 a week?

I just saw on Nitrohouse more upgrade part's are starting to show up for the CRT.5 White wheels and wing's a new CNC chassis and some new high downforce wing's are avalable. :027:

Now need to get a the battery. 3s lithium, thinking 3800 APOGEE MAGNUM. I run the 1000 mah packs in my B/L Detta ST.

I went with the 4000mah 3s Maxamps pack and would recomend the 5000mah pack or a 100amp constant pack the 4000 at 80amp constant gets a little warm and has melted the shrink wrap a little on the end? I believe it needs a little more amp capacity? This was with the foams running on the street road racing and geared to run near 60mph speeds though.:005:

I will def take the advice and go 5000 mah or more, nothing like a little extra run time. Did you happen to check weights of parts for balancing the chassis? I am the type a few grams not going to show itself in a 4 lb truck! ;)

I have one of the 6000mah 2s lipos from maxamps and it is quite nice. Its interesting how many people from one18th.com are now on this site. I love my rc18t, but I am hoping the crt .5 will be a little more stable at full speed.

FWIW I have been wrining my Detta St out with the permax and quark. I am sitting on GRP 30mm foams. This thing is sooooo stable at speeds it is unreal. I plan to get some alloy shocks and then lower the stocks for speed runs. Also got a 3s to try been running the 2s packs. I am saying 35-40 mph right now prob close to 40 mph, I say this I ran a car down on my road speed limit is 35. I caught it with ease. As well the permax makes hardly any heat. I got some gearing to try on the 2s first.

anyway for a stable excellent 1/18th ride look at the Detta ST, it is def similar to the CRT.5. This is why I had to have the CRT.5, my 1/8th scale buddies will not be running this thing over as easy as the ST! That is if they can even catch the CRT.5 when it hits the dirt.

heh I just want something that can handle a powerful BL setup without stripping diffs/pinions/etc. The minquake and detta are good to a point, but I think a .5 CRT will be my next RC.

anyone thinking of using those new 30's series proline wheels and tires? they look sweet! and should IMO be perfect size, just need a bigger wing and this thing should look SWEET!!!!!!!!

i think i may be back on at a crt .5,, that or another onroader to race, but i NEED a basher, already have the 5700kv and mm esc waiting for something lol... so i mite

The larger wheels and tires may be a problem with the mini steering servo? I fried 1 servo running the Jaco Associated truck foams I'm not sure if it was a bad servo or too much traction with the foams that killed it? I replaced the servo and have not ran the foams and there has been no more servo problems. :)

those do that, futaba servos dont do that, there much better quality

Ya it was a Hitec The next servo I think I'm going to try is the Futaba S9550 low profile std size servo it's about a 1/2" shorter the a STD servo and with 83ozin torque and .11 speed @6v should be much better then the Hitec.:)
