Project OverKill (hehe)
Hey Rc-Monster Users,
Heres my next/ First Brushless Project. Quick Specs, XTM Rage 1/18 4wd, (fun part) Mamba Max ESC 3s 2000 Mah Li-po 5000 Kv Trinity Brushless Motor Ya, Over kill or what? Let me know what you guys think. :mdr: |
what size can is the Trinity Motor, you dont need a MM ESC in an 1/18 scale....I have a RC18 with a Mamba 25, Hyperion yc-22(5000kv) and a FP EVO25 3s1500 pack and its all the power you would need

Which Trinity Brushless is it?

iam getting it 25 shipped from a member on here yes i know the mm is more than enough power. thats the point, "Project OverKill" plus when i build my E-Revo (some day) i can use it |
That motor is the motor that is used in the Trinity NOW which is made by Castle Creations
|
Correct ,but its made by CC, Hmm i didn't know that, thanks. is it a good motor?

Hmm, iam so glad to have Smart RC People. because i though 5000 Kv would be a good balance between Acc.-Speed
|
Its a 280XL...

That motor is a bit small for the Rage IMO. It's barely bigger (+5mm longer) than a Mamba motor and those are notoriously bad for use in a vehicle that size. Even though it's cheap, you're probably going to have heat issues with it in that vehicle, especially on 3S. I'd suggest a different motor if you want it to actually live up to the "Overkill" terminology you're using for the truck.
Some motors that come to mind... Neu 1105/2Y Neu 1107/1.5Y Permax Multiplex BL480/3D Medusa 28-40-3400 Also, a MM is not needed for a truck that size...a Sidewinder is much more affordable and will work very well on whatever motor you choose. You also aren't going to find any 3S 2000mAh battery packs that will fit in the battery tray of the Rage. About the biggest you can probably sneak in there is a 3S 1600mAh Flightpower EVOLITE V2 pack. |

thanx for the link it looks like the 1105/2y would be a good direct replacement for my Hyperion have you tried any of the 1100 series Neus? |
