Your best bet is a freeware site. For under 100 bucks, I don't think there are any that are really worth it imo.

there has to be!

whats the best, cheapest program?

BlackedOutREVO 04.22.2007 12:59 AM

is it good tho? i wouldnt know what to really look for, sounds good, and looks like what i want to do, but idk, i want to like screw with it and make rc chassis and that kinda stuff, renderings, gears etc... but if thats cant be had for under a 100 bucks then idk

Solidworks is an awesome program to use. I can't recommend doing this, but I downloaded my copy of Solidworks, since there's no way I could spend as much money on it as it costs.

The only thing under 100 bucks would be Alibre Design - they have a free version that is very feature rich.

It's been said before; student version of SW..

BlackedOutREVO 04.22.2007 01:09 PM

but is it worth it? i know under 100 bucks, but we dont want it if it isnt worth it..

Serum 04.22.2007 01:35 PM

I wouldn't advise it if it wasn't worth it.

Perhaps you know another source to get SW.

BlackedOutREVO 04.22.2007 01:41 PM

Do you think you can post the link for the free version? I was also looking for a CAD program just to design things for fun.
