Plus the 25 dollar discount is only 155 bucks!

skellyo 03.12.2008 08:29 PM

Actually, the $25 discount code is only good for orders >$250. You only get $12.50 off of an order of $100-$249.

tashpop 03.12.2008 08:29 PM

where do you get the discount at, i don't have one. i wouldn't mind scooping one up or you can get the hot bodies rtr buggy for around $200 at ultimate i think.

Ooh, thanks for clearing that up. My bad.

rschoi_75 03.12.2008 08:55 PM

info on the coupon code?

I've been scoping out amain's deals as well. They've got some real tempting deals right now. I almost bought a TT ST-1 the other day, but stopped myself right before clicking the "submit" button...lol. I want one so bad... I think it would make a great basher; and it would be real cheap after selling all the nitro gear. The OCM Kaos buggy looks great too.

supralover72 03.12.2008 09:14 PM

I would for sure look at the matrix fre buggy they have for 350. That seemed like the best deal to me.

skellyo 03.12.2008 10:39 PM

Have fun guys!

skellyo 03.12.2008 11:44 PM

Not a problem. Always glad to try and help save folks money.

jhautz 03.13.2008 12:15 AM

DAMN! That looks like a heck of a nice buggy for $167.49

http://www.sportwerksrc.com/Products...ProdID=SWK1105

Machined chassis and shock towers and all aluminum parts, threaded shocks, 6 CVDs.

I wonder if any of the RCM mounts would fit that thing? Sportwerks is a Horizon Hobby brand just like Losi right? Wonder if the Losi mount would fit?

Makes me wish I needed another buggy.

supralover72 03.13.2008 05:15 PM

for that price how could you loose! Yea, it's horizon so technically losi. Doubt the 8 mount will fit though.

Thanks for the coupon codes skellyo!

PowerRocks 03.13.2008 05:57 PM

It comes out to 200 with shipping. Now what upgrades would one get? Remember plan to make it brushless, so should we upgrade spur, springs?

supralover72 03.13.2008 06:02 PM

I wouldn't, but I have never owned one. Someone I know raced one though, he was nitro but he said he beat the shit out of it and it just came back for more.

bdebde 03.14.2008 12:59 AM

The Pro version really doesn't need much in the way of upgrades. You may need a bit stiffer springs if you run a heavy battery/motor combo. The spur gear should be just fine as long as you are running the RC-Monster hardened pinions. Drop Mike an email, ask him if he has a motor mount for a Muggy (see this post). The Muggy center diff is exactly the same as the Sportwerks.

Sammus 03.14.2008 10:20 AM

Bah... why did I have to read this post? now I want a sportworks buggy and a TT ST-1 :P pity I already used my $25 coupon lol...

Oh yeah fyi, those coupons can only be used once per customer.

rschoi_75 03.14.2008 12:44 PM

 sammus.

I won't be using those coupons... I was actually a good boy and put my spare cash into my IRA.... boring, I know.

The center diff mount for the muggy and turmoil is the same? If this is confirmed and Mike has the mounts available I may pick one up.

bdebde 03.17.2008 12:44 AM

I have both a Mayhem and a Muggy, the diffs are physically identical (hardened spider gears on sportwerks). I use the aluminum center diff mounts for the Mayhem ST in both rigs, with my homemade motor mounts bolted on. I know Mike has just done a Muggy mount for someone on the forum, so he should have em now.

Sammus 03.17.2008 07:07 PM

Dunno how long this has been there... http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...od=RCMmuggymnt

Not long, that is the one that will work for the sportwerks diffs as well.

Dewmerz 03.17.2008 11:13 PM

Thanks bdebde. The mount was not on the site last night but it was there after I received a reply from Mike. As soon as they are in stock I need to order it since a buggy should be on the way!

cart213 03.17.2008 11:16 PM

Ohhhh....Now the cheap Turmoil is much more tempting....must....resist.....

junkman 03.18.2008 11:14 PM

ahh, I think I am going to pull the trigger on one. So from what I read the muggy/sportwerks mount should be ok with mech brakes, just somewhat limited on pinion size right? To me it looks like a heck of a car for the money. Just maybe a bit worried about parts a couple years down the road.
