Why won't the MM work ? With the new firmware it should do ok ? No ? At any rate, I think a lot of people have used that Jazz with good results.

MM wont engage when I plug in 5S batt. to it. when i plug in 3S then its ok. I heard, I could be wrong, but the new MM wont work w/ 5S or will burn up.. not really worth it for me. thanks.
|
Are you using an external bec when trying the 5s?
|
yup, im using the CC 10 amp bec. with the red wire from the ESC out. I had this set up b/4 w/ older MM but I sold it. Now i bought it again w/ New MM and it doesnt work.
|
Try this... I was talking to Mike about this and he mentioned that it worked for him, but I dont have a new MM to try it with. Mine are all the older ones.
plug the MM into the usb and from the computer choose the option to resore or reset the factory settings. The unplug it from the usb and plug it in to the battery. It should work on 5s, but there is not LVC set yet. Once you have gotten it to turn on, shut it all down again and then plug it back into the usb and program it with the computer to have a 15v cut off voltage. then try it again. He said that it worked for him and his will run on 5s now. I have been wanting someone to try it, cuz if it works I will probably buy another MM, but I only want one if it will work on 5s. If you can test this and see if it works I would apreciate it. |
sounds reasonable. I'll try it.. but, What does that do? twicks the programming mode?
|
Hope you got tranny and diff parts. Unless you upgrade, you'll need them. That 2.5d will rip diffs out of the revo quick
|
Just wait for the MMM. I know Kontronik's products are great, but for less $$$ you will get what it seems a better controller with lots of features.
|
MMM???? When is that coming out, like 2010? i heard about this like 2 yrs ago. I want to run my revo now, and couple of bucks is not worth waiting for 2 yr nor something that wont come out after all.. If the jazz works then i'll get it..
I had Nemesis 7xl motor prior to this w/ MM on 5S 4800 and it was freaken quick but did not damage anything.. maybe Neu, is a different animal.. |

I tried the USb trick and didnt work. MY steering works but im not sure that sign of anything, only my throttle does not..
Can I use that Jazz 80 w/o prob.??? |
Yes you should be able to use the Jazz 80 without a problem on your setup. The Jazz controllers are really nice as I have one on my T-rex heli!

Yea custom setting is great. I set mine at 15V and run 5s on an older style MM |
My Jazz or Neu coggs big time after stop and go.. I had Nemesis motor 7xl w/ MM and that thing worked flawlessly. MM barely got hot and the motor was warm to the touch but not hot. MM and Nemesis was about 1/3 the cost of this Jazz and Neu combo.
I think I got the right motor, Neu 1515 2.5 but WHAT ESC? HELP ME!!!!!!!! I spent about $900 bucks and nothing works. thanks.. |

Do I dare say buy an MMM in a few weeks? It's strange that the jaz neu combo cogs. What batteries are you using? I have no experience with the jaz but I am sure some of the guys here can help you get it working. I don't know if gearing could be an issue.

Might be the motor - Oddly I was getting some cogging with a MM/Feigao 9XL but not get NONE with a MM/1515 2.5D... Go figure...
|
When is MMM coming out? also, Is it coming w/ the motor? does anyon have a pic? thanks..
|
raptor50, go check the CastleCreations threads, there is one called MMM sneak preview...
as for your cogging, do you have the option of changing the timing on it? if so you may need to get it up in the 25-30 degree range (or medium to high) to make it happy with the neu. Something about how slotted/ multi pole motors need higher timing. then there is the ole' connector malfunction that will make any setup cog, and there is also the potential of it being a glitch that comes up at the highest amp moment (starting moving) you may want to try turning off the LVC for a moment to make sure your not just dropping the pack voltage too low with the higher wattage. hope some of this might help :) hurts to drop 9 bills on a cogging setup :( |
