Yup, that was already posted in another thread.

Just pre-orders though...

aqwut 04.24.2008 02:41 PM

Definately great price for those... I want to pre order 2 of them, but it's only 6S... :)

legobrains 04.24.2008 03:04 PM

I like how castle creations links to RC-monster for buying pinions.

But I'm still disappointed that they are going to sell first before they distribute to RC-monster Mike.

I encourage everybody to wait until RC-monster has the MMM in stock and order from him. Mike has done alot for the 1/8th brushless scale. http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...steresc&cat=21

Arct1k 04.24.2008 03:06 PM

Ahmen - I'm sure mike will take .95c off if you're worried about price!

lincpimp 04.24.2008 03:38 PM

Note that CC states that the MMM does not come with the castle link:

"The Mamba Monster ESC is Castle Link™ compatible too – drivers can use their Castle Link and a Windows PC to tune and tweak additonal settings, such as..."

Yeah - saw that too. I really liked the USB port right on the MM. Luckily I already have one from the Mamba25 days. :)

That isn't that bad as if you already had one there is no point getting another and it would just raise the price.

CONGRATULATIONs CASTLE!!! I can't wait to get this thing into my car.

VintageMA 04.24.2008 04:30 PM

Unless I missed something I also noticed on their site talking about using the 6.5mm plugs and nothing about early versions coming with wires attached.

well I guess thats just one more thing to order. after the ease of programming the mm with the pc I will not go back to counting beeps.

^ I actually like that they kept the link out of the package. I'm sure it keeps costs down a little bit; and that's a nice thing for people who already have them.

Anyone know if mike is going to start a pre-order list or something? I plan to buy from mike and I have the email notification set, but I want to make sure I can claim one from his first shipment. I wouldn't mind paying ahead of time to lock in my order.

Ummm...guys,

Regarding the Monster Max's size, I think that there is a chance of using more than 6s lipos with these without any problem. I think we only need to disable the switching bec and put in a ubec instead. I think that 6s with this thing is a bit little.....7 or 8s seems possible. What do you think?

dirt101 04.24.2008 05:34 PM

well considering i have seen guys(myself included) running 5s on a 3s controller (mm) i think it will handle atleast 8.

BrianG 04.24.2008 06:19 PM

lol, not even out yet and people are already talking about running them beyond their ratings...

Jammin 04.24.2008 06:37 PM

I really want to know if it comes with wires!!!!!!!!!

I'm waiting for my fellow forum members to find out before I buy one. I'd like an 8s-capable controller.

aqwut 04.24.2008 10:11 PM

if it was 8S compatible it would be a KILLER..... I will wait as well... if it was 8S, it would smoke the MGM 24.160.... @ half the cost...

highflier 04.24.2008 10:52 PM

8S lipo = 9s A123. A123 love packs love to be in counts that divide by 3.

I am not in the market quite yet. But if it would run a 9s A123 pack, I would bite :)

Good to know, they need to re-word their info to properly state that...

Be nice to know, should have it listed on their site but on other forums others have phoned and they said that it isn't included
