Hippies new toy
|
Nice, I am tempted to buy one, seen videos on it running a LRP brushless and just unstopable
|
Im plan on using a MM system or a sidewinder system. To start i plan on using my 7cell nimh packs for power .
|
A sidewinder would really be all you would need in a electric 1/10 unless you are planning to run some type of stupid motor/battery combo

She's cute - How much did she cost?
|
The J82 is so tempting, if I didn't have a Slash on order, I might have got myself a J82.
Looking forward to some pics. |
Nice buggy! I'm looking forward to build pics.
|
BAH! what fun is a buggy:sleep:
|
I picked one of those up to convert my t4 about a month ago. Since my local indoor track lets me race it in truck class, I think it will be staying with the buggy tires for awhile. :)

System Choice
As you can see from the pics my J82 is built. Know in looking for a BL system for it. I plan on using my 7 cell nimh packs for know. I will get trakpower lipo's latter. So i was thinking about getting the sidewinder & 5700kv system or the MM & 5700kv system from castle. Im leaning towards the sidewinder system because of the low cost. Any thoughts ?.

I have just received RC10T4 Team and ordered J82 conversion.
@skellyo I wonder how many titanium turnbuckles are included in conversion kit and what pinion are you running with MM 5700? I am going to use SW 5700kv and 2S 4000mAh hardcase Zippy LiPo :) |

I hope you have another toy instead :)
Do you remember number of turnbuckles and pinion size? |

I have several . I think your going to want a pinion around a 20 or 21 to get some good speed . I tried mine with a 16 it was fairly slow, & i was using a very good lipo . . I personally would'nt worry about ti turnbuckles untill they bend or break . Two ti turn buckles come with the j82 kit . so you would only need 4 buckles . two upper turnbuckles & two lower tie rods . |
Thanks rchippie!
I will start with 18T |

Thats a good starting point . I built mine to the book & it handeled very well in my opinion. The only upgrade i made was to put green springs FR & RR . Thats how jason rouna set his up . In case you dont know the name . He is to owner of jconepts . You get a set of green springs in your kit . I dont remember if they are FR or RR . |
Thanks! I have got some spare green springs as well :)
