Will castle fix the known issues before the next shipment?

Just wondering ...

Also when will the next batches arrive?

I think that's the plan. They suspended all shipping until they fix the problem.

That's a good question, I'd like to know too if possible.

kulangflow 05.22.2008 03:34 PM

I can't imagine that they'd send them out knowing there was still a major issue.

jayjay283 05.22.2008 03:44 PM

Cris, (sp?) from Castle called me yesterday and said they couldnt fix my MMM and they are all out of them right now, they are making a new batch mid-June that should have the fixes and will be available for people after that.

That sounds good, I would rather wait for one with the known issues resolved ...

JUNE! damn, so much for late may :(

o well, its better that i get it when i know it will work, rather than having to send it back to them, as that costs around $25 :(

MTBikerTim 05.23.2008 02:25 AM

At least I didn't send mine back express ($40). I'm glad they are making sure that the controllers are top notch before sending out more. I'm fine with sending it back once but I don't want to do it again.

And mid June probably means that its not untill late June/early July untill everone who pre-ordered have their Monsters or maybe later...... I expect it to have connectors on it and no issues with the BEC when the delivery time is so late..... thank god i have a Mamba Max... othervise i would have missed 1/3 of the season.....

DRIFT_BUGGY 05.23.2008 06:01 AM

So do they people that have had issues get theirs first before the other preorders?

xcntrk 05.23.2008 07:37 AM

Nope! Your turn being first has come and gone. End of the line sucker! :whip:

(J/K; I obviously have no idea)

rootar 05.23.2008 10:23 AM

hopefully they fill all of mikes backorders in the next shippment that way everyone on this forum will be happy lol

ill be on that backorder list pretty soon too

sikeston34m 05.23.2008 10:47 AM

I've been on the pre-order list for several weeks now. I just wanted in!

I do feel for you guys that have received yours and have had issues. So is the Woes of something that just comes out. There are alot of individual parts that must perform correctly to make an ESC work the way it should. There must have been some faulty parts that snuck their way into the mix.

We must be patient. I know it's been a long time coming, BUT the end result will be an ESC that out performs the rest of the pack in alot of ways:

Smoothness
Ease of Programmability
Power Handling
Widest Range of Applications

I don't mind waiting another month to get mine. I'm sure it will be flawless.

I want to create a thread for my setup with the MMM and give Castle Creations the Positive feed back that they deserve. :yipi:

coolrunnings 05.28.2008 01:53 PM

I don't know I kinda like my mgm 224.18...however I did just pre order 2 mmm's mikes sale is the bomb....I mean his sale not the controls...lol.

loa 05.28.2008 05:21 PM

What? We have to pay for shipping if our MMM is a dud?

tc3_racer_001 05.28.2008 05:45 PM

yes... thats standard.

i got an email from them (asking a different question) and they have fixed the problem and are testing the controllers long and hard. i think this is good news. just imagine if you had the job of installing the monster into a truck driving it for 1/2 and hr then cleaning it and boxing it up! how that would suck!

loa 05.31.2008 12:17 PM

Standard? Wow! Nice quality / customer service standards...

Anyway. Hope mine doesn't fry as shipping from outside the US will be expensive.

Bring back the Beta program, CC....hint hint

hemiblas 05.31.2008 01:53 PM

I had signed up for the beta program but never heard anything back. I run 20 trucks, 6 boats, 3 airplanes and was willing to test for free just for the chance to test out new product before anyone else. I'm also an electrical engineer, have basic testing equipment and run descent brushless conversions.

Sounds like a nice job :intello:
