Hey guys, im in a bit of a Jam here... I had everything lined up for an e-lst when ebay decide to charge me for the sale of a Bike from a month ago...

I have 225 Dollars, what should i blow it on?
i was thinking about picking up a new Rc18T and getting a hopped up Brushed motor for it.. Or Upgrading my raze.. but with what?

Let me know what you think i should get or do.

I used to buy lots of cars, but I think I have more fun the way I do it now. Im down to 2 cars now but Im builing them into the best they can be. I say upgrade the raze.

Rc18t is a fun little truck but for $225 you won't get the truck and go brushless with it. Truck is about $180 and a CC setup for it is about $110. Maybe upgrade the raze or buy some lipos with the $

I have 5s 4000mah lipos already that are still new (less then 10 cycles)
I was thinking triple M..

I have to buy hinge pins and a rear hub....

So with All that and the MMM it came out to $213 but the mmm is backorderd..:no:

I went up to a bunch of cars but have shrunk to one of each type and making them really nice... I would ditch the raze and get a nice buggy roller i.e. 8ight, x1cr, mb5 and have a solid platform to build from...

yeah yeah, everyone keeps telling me that the raze isnt a quality car.. but its been perfect... all the things ive broken were my fault..

Diff gears..- not shimmed right and landed @ 1/2 throttle
Rear hub- hit a dumpster..

So here's how i read it:
You really want an e-LST.
You dont have the money for one.
You have a certain amount of cash saved.
You can blow that cash on something to slightly satisfy your immediate need, yet you will still be wanting that e-LST. Yet now, you will be 225 further away from purchasing one.
Save for what you want.

But the only reason i was planning the Lst was because i had an opritunity to get the chassis for cheap.. i really just want another vehicle.

me i want an e revo but i won't be i oz for awhile if not more so im going to wait
and toy with my brushless stampede and may consider converting my thunder tiger eb4 s2 which is about as good as your raze i actually looked into doing your conversion but i want 4wd and i think thats what your after 4wd
just use your raze and see if you can get another lst chassis

Been there before, I agree that you should wait and save for something you want. If you buy now you will just ask for more and want the e-LST more...

The Razee is 4wd.
And if i am going to upgrade it it will be with better running gear IE MMM, new servo, etc

fix the raze, drive it, save $$$ and get the lst

That sounds like good advise to me :wink:
Raze parts are cheep, LST's will only get cheeper and more rollers will show up for sell

seriously. i am 17, and money's not exactly growing on trees... unless your a drug farmer... but im not :lol:

i had to save for ever to get my hyper 7, then i sold it, got a eb4 s2, for 100 bucks less, had that for around a year, only broke one part which i had a spare (came with them, 2nd hand) and then sold it to buy an esavage... which ended up being a money pit (it didnt break so much as it needed upgrading...BL etc...)

so i went back to the faithful hyper family and managed to bargain with the LHS and got a brand new 8.5 PRO rolller for less than 1/2 price with all of the nitro stuff removed... just because i quoted the price i was going to get one new, and he said the best he could do was $100 more... AWESOME. i would never have got that price and im pretty sure he didnt make any money of that deal, but i go to him for most things which i can get, everything else is o/s.

Sigh...I see no one here is thinking like a true RC addict. Brushlessboy, buy it all. First you max out your credit cards, then you drain the savings account and last you cash in any retirement accounts and/or insurance funds. A true RC addict lives from paycheck to paycheck and never worries about what they can afford. I just finished my second personal bunkruptcy filing so I'm all set to start buying again!

Seriously, sell your Raze as a roller for $84 (if it's worth that much.)& buy the MBX5T. You'll be much better off.

Just wanted to comment on this, I've also got a Raze mine is the ST Truggy and everyone tells me what a piece that it is. But I've had it for a while now, it is nitro still but runs like stink. I jump it 15' in the air, lawn dart it and the only issue is a busted receiver pack. Crashes all the time and no breaks, maybe it is a pile, but for what I do I haven't found a week point yet and I am very hard on it as far as I am concerned. Might not be a good race truck, but other than that it seems pretty bullet proof.

Also tower having that huge Raze and Raze ST sale last month I think that I've got 3 of every part on the truck. It just seems that I may not need any of them.

Sorry man, hinge pins are a peice that I seem to be able to use a bit, and I've only got one spare set of the hubs. I guess I exagerated a bit in my last post. I just really like my Raze ST and people continuously dog the truck/ truggy.

I usually bend the hinge pins and then bend them back and they are okay. You actually broke yours? Wow. That must have been some abuse. I like it. :-)

yeah the car was running about 30ish, i ran over some automotive grease and made the rear of the car slide and swing out.. just as i was passing a dumpster..
