Wanna make 5$ easy? Mamba Max ESC, CC BEC, 2 x 7.4v 2s 8k lipos wiring diagram!?

Hi!
I got an e-revo with a MM ESC, CC BEC and two TrueRC 8k 2s lipos!
I have not soldered it yet, because I was not sure how to do it!
I don't want to solder the batteries in series, so I want to get two plugs on my esc so I can connect two batteries.

Where and how do I solder the CC BEC?

Can anyone draw a wiring diagram in paint or something?

I will donate 5$ with paypal to the person that can give me a very helpful wiring diagram.

Thanks

He could donate the money to BrianG, he does provide that site for free, and it is very useful...

Yeah, if anyone you should donate to him.
That site is extremely useful, I don't know what I'd do without it!
Probably just walk into a wall and hope for the cracks to show diagrams/calculations. I don't know if that would work very well though... :oh:

no doubt without that site I wouldnt know where to begin. Just click the donate button at the bottom of the page there and throw him the $5

You could also just make or buy a y-harness so that you don't have to solder anything to your new esc. That way you still have 2 separate batteries that you can wire in series with the y-harness and plug in one connector to the existing connector on the esc.

thanks guys!
Is it an internal Bec in the Mamba max esc?
If not, where do I solder the CC BEC on the wiring?

You will want to solder the positive wire of the bec to the positive wire of the esc and the negative of thebec to the negative of the esc. MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE RED WIRE FROM THE PLUG THAT GOES TO THE RECEIVER AND TAPE OR HEAT SHRINK IT TO SO IT DOESN'T SHORT TO ANYTHING.

wrap the bare ends of the 2 wires together and than solder that to the connector and than put a piece of heat shrink tubing over the connection use a heat gun to shrink the wrap (cut and slide the tubing over the wire before you solder)

I ran my cc bec wire along side my power wires on the mm. Then soldered both the mm power wires and cc bec wires to the battery plug together. It's a bit hard to get the shrink tubing to fit over everything, but it does with a little work. I then ziptied the cc bec and mm power wires together so they don't try to come seperated and yank out at the end. Also, there are places that sell pre made dean's Y adapters to wire in 2 batteries in either series or parallel, whichever you prefer. That is if you are using dean's plugs, not sure since you mentioned bullets. Or you could look at one and make your own harness. And as already mentioned, make sure you pull the little red wire comin off your mm that goes to the rx out of the wire harness and you should be set.

Do I have to use the bullets?
Can't I just solder the wires right on the battery?
I will show in a paint picture.

And one more thing...
Nobody has replied to me if the Mamba Max ESC has an internal BEC!?

Can someone say if the wiring diagram I draw on the picture is correct??

Please help me!
I really appreciate that you guys can hel me with this!
Thank you!

perfect. thats how you do it. :)

u can use either deans or bullets, both are good.

Ev1er 08.05.2008 06:02 PM

ok, thanks!

but DANG!!
Can't anyone answear me if the MM ESC has an internal Bec or low voltage cut-off???????

azjc 08.05.2008 06:02 PM

You have to use a connector of some type you need to be able to remove the battery so you can charge the pack and so the pack doest drain and puff on you

suicideneil 08.05.2008 06:06 PM

The MM has a built in BEC, but it should be disabled to use an external BEC (remove redwire from the rx lead plug, and cover with tape or shrink tube).

Where do I have to use a connector of some type?

Show me on my drawing!

RBMike 08.05.2008 06:27 PM

You don't have to have a connector on it. Just solder it the way your drawing is drawn & you'll be fine.
