When will RCM be shipping MMM's again?
 

I'm VERY happy about the great results of the V2 Monsters.

I'm also very excited and anxious to receive mine from the second batch of preorders placed with RCM.

Does anyone have any idea of what kind of time frame we are looking at now?

I check this forum every day looking for some kind of answer or clue as to when.

I don't know when RCM will start shipping them,but I ordered one direct from CC on the 27th of July and got a ship notification today Woohoo.

I guess it was worth the extra $30 I paid.

I am also eagerly awaiting the shipping notification from Mike that my MMM is coming. :yes: I am part of the 2nd batch as well. My guess is that it will ship within the next two weeks... but thats just a wild guess. :whistle:

I still haven't even received a shipping notification for the one that was being repaired. I am really hoping that it has been sent and they just forgot to send me the notification now. I know they have my MMM and my e-mail address cause they sent me an e-mail explaining the delays in repairs.

What can you do.

MTBikerTim - that is not cool people that just ordered one are getting the MMM and you have been waiting on a repaired one. I would contact Patrick directly. Im sure he will make things right.

That's what happened to me. I didn't get a shipping notification. It just showed up at my door and I received several updates from Castle so they did have my email. It was a good surprise! Hopefully that's what is happening to you also.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about the shipping notification, I never got one, received my MMM 2 days ago. Hopefully I will get time to try it out today.

I´m in the same situation, I´m waiting for a shipping notification just like yours but still haven´t heard anything. But it´ll get here someday so I tend not to worry about it, I really want to have my MMM back but I´ve got myself a MM to play with in the meantime :party:

Thanks guys that is reassuring to know. I'll take it that since orders are starting to get shipped that mine has been shipped. The other good thing is that if orders are being shipped, Mikes order should be fairly high up that list and it will either have been shipped or will be very close to being shipped. Win Win for all :party:.

Hopefully Mike will post when he gets some and can ship out. I still don't know of anyone getting a v2 MMM as a retail order. Seems that everyone who has one had a v1 which needed replacement.

Mine just showed up in the mail. So it was a case of no shipping notification. I'll have mine in my brushless savage by tonight I am sure. I can't wait to see how this goes.

I had the same question and I couldnt find the answer on the forums. I emailed Mike and he said that it is very soon that we will be getting them. He said that either late this week or early next week and that he would turn around and ship them within a day. Keep in mind that he has no control over when he will actually receive them, but the fact that he is willing to ship them all within a day is awesome. These guys get my business and its well deserved.

yeah when I got my 1st v2, it was the same story, it just showed up in my mailbox via usps priority; no email. then I fried it.

So I ordered mine in may from mikes preorder, you ordered on july 27 and have a shipping notification. I would hope that CC shipped out mikes orders before orders placed in July!

as pat said, its up to the computer data base to decide which orders get filled first... assuming they were entered into the computer right, mike should have his before anyone ordering in july = next week or earlier is my guess. :)

I sure hope that Mike will be getting his soon so he can start shipping...... i kind of want mine.... and the other stuf i have in that same order :)

Nope, not a word, i hope that CC are getting close to ship out to all wendors that has had pre-orders on the MMM.... i got the feeling from Patrics posts that they where aiming to get all pre-orders, repairs and so on out this week.... i guess they didnt have enough time for that..... i hope that it wount be long now and that it is worth the wait

The Castle mantra is "next week." It seems everything is one week away. Trouble is, next week seems to never come. I think they need to listen to some Van Halen songs. Particularly the song "Right now!"

It looks like the next 50 or so pre-orders should ship next week some time from me - about a week later perhaps for the remaining units (shipment is being broken up for whatever reason). :)

I think the reason may be simple: So 50 of us won't have to wait a week longer for the rest of the stock. I hope mine is one of those 50! My order has been in here since early May.

Mike will the first50 fulfill all of the "batch 2" pre orders?

IIRC Mike was shorted 50 unit's on the first batch so I don't think that it's going to cover the 2nd pre-order batch.

I may be wrong about this though and apologize in advance to Mike if that is the case.

Castle said that this production run would be big enough to cover all outstanding orders. So hopefully they ship Mike enough for him to cover all of his preorders and then still have some stock.

The way I understand it, which could be wrong, is that Castle is making enough to cover all standing orders. It's just a long process where they don't produce very many per day so some vendors won't have thier's for a another week or two, but luckily Mike is pretty high on the list as far as vendors go. They're still gonna havta make another production run soon for stock and future orders. Maybe, if we're lucky, they'll make another production run of Mamba Maxes in between. That way all of us poor bastards smoking MM while waiting for their MMM will be able to get them repaired/replaced in a timely manner.

I was talking to Patrick last week and he told me that he would be breaking up the shippment's rather than make peole wait longer,Castle is not that big of a company and can not just make 2000 plus ESC'S overnight or week.

It's the hand work that takes some time. They run all the boards thru loading and solder of all the components in just a short time (at least we did at our SMT shop). Then they have to hand solder all the connections & big caps maybe some other things, coat the boards & allow that to cure, then mechanical assembly, fans, case, sticker, packaging, etc. Somewhere in there is inspection & electrical testing, possibly even burn-in time. The place (CC) is not that big & it's not like they have a 100 people in there doing all this stuff so it's no surpise that they might only come out at the rate of couple hundred a week or so. All the while they are also building all the other product that they offer. It's not like the MMM is the only thing they work on.

Plus remember they do still have to make a lot more products than just the Monster.

Just checked by back order which was placed nearly two months ago , has gone from mid august to late August :surprised:

um its the 19th , so that is mid to late august.

From what I understand from our order placement --

We don't ship to RC-Monster directly, they buy from one of our distributors.

That distributor has received a shipment of Monster controllers from us already.

Another distributor shipment went out on the 15th.

Where it goes from there is not my department. :wink:

Seriously though, thanks for getting it all right Patrick! My v2 is rocking solid so far! And just so damn smooth.

True. And good to hear. I know 54 units are on the way to me already, and it is good to know that more are on the way to the distributor(the bulk of the MMMs from this distributor come to me - kind of a "partnership" of sorts). My best guess is that the 54 units will leave here in the next few days(as soon as they arrive), and if the "other" shipment is sizable enough, then we should have enough to fill all remaining pre-orders and put them in stock for everyone else next week. :)
