How to return my V1 MMM?

So I need to return my V1 MMM to be repaired/upgraded.

What should I include with the controller? Is there some sort of special RMA form?

I sent a MM back a long time ago, and have not had any issues with the other 12 or so CC products I have. Great stuff!!

bl-is-future 08.18.2008 02:46 PM

not exactly the MMM stuff but i assume same procedure. There is a pdf on this page for the form you need and it also has the addy to ship it in. http://www.castlecreations.com/support.html

This excatly what i did today for my MMMv1,
Just fill the repair request form and ship it to castle. By Security i did put 2 request form, one inside the package and one outside

Best option is to only inlcude the controller without connectors or castlelink - It will get returned the same...

Thanks guys, I filled the form out and will send the esc only. Anyone know how long it will take to get another? Is there any priority to

Is there a deadline for submitting your V1 back? mine isn't broke but I would like it to be upgraded to V2.... at the same time I don't want to send it back until I get my v2 from RC monster..

bl-is-future 08.19.2008 02:37 PM

should be as long as your warranty i would assume. So 1 year:lol: I too am going to send mine in but like you want to keep it cause it works.

When should we send those in for the shortest wait time?

Fifo is how we send out -- but, we won't have a lot of spare MMM until next batch -- early September.

So, if you can wait until then, you will have a shorter wait (longer wait total, but shorter turn-around...)

So for the people that still have working V1's, better off waiting till the new batch just to be fair?

Arct1k 08.20.2008 07:36 AM

Yes... Let those have broken ones get their's fixed. You will have shorter downtime to..

bl-is-future 08.20.2008 09:09 AM

So you guys will be mad if i send my 13 v1's in for replacements?????

j/k i only have one but will hold off till next batch.

Mister-T 08.20.2008 09:29 AM

Don't do that i have my dead V1 on it's way to CC... It's already frustrating to wait once again and It cost me 40 $ of shipping (yes French post are thief).

killjoyken 08.20.2008 11:52 PM

Well, I finally got around to sending my two V1s back to Castle today. Hope I won't have to wait too long. I left my 6.5mm connectors on, will I get them back?

jhautz 08.21.2008 01:10 AM

I got my connectors back that were attached to my V1 that died. They were just clipped off and in a little bag and included in the shipping box with the V2. You should get them back., but for anyone else sending one in I would clip them off myself before shipping it back just to be sure.

Mister-T 08.21.2008 08:18 AM

I wonder how castle did handle the returned stuff, I've got a odd message from tracking system for the parcel i sent.
It said the parcel is waiting in post office and the adressee has been warned that It does have 15 days to pick it up.
Is there Nobody to received packing or what ?:gasp:

VintageMA 08.21.2008 09:49 AM

So - I'm not sure I am 100% clear on the return process for working V1 MMMs. I have 2 that are currently going strong and fan still works but I am still concerned about it dying on me one day.

Once the supply of V2 MMMs is good will we be able to replace the V1 that are working for free? I don't mind paying shipping, but I wouldn't expect to be asked to pay a replacement fee.

Arct1k 08.21.2008 09:53 AM

Yes patrick said just post it in and they will send you a v2...

VintageMA 08.21.2008 11:43 AM

Cool, I'll probably wait until late September until the stock has been built up and turn around is better.

blueb8llz 08.22.2008 07:12 PM

from the way its sounding, you should wait longer than september if your v1's are still working. i would check on the board first to see how the stock is before sending in your working v1's.
