Nice Eli. Cant wait to get some competition out there. :mdr: Pretty soon there will be enough of us that the nitro guys are gonna start making us run in our own class. Already heard Phil grumbling about it last week. lol
Now you just gotta get this done before the next race or you might see your lead in the points series go away. lol |
i hear that about a separate class
my charger showed up today. i cant wait for the batteries to get here so i can use it http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g1...8/DSCF1066.jpg http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g1...8/DSCF1067.jpg http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g1...8/DSCF1068.jpg http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g1...8/DSCF1070.jpg |

Sweet you'll be running by this weekend!!! Just need the MMM now and a little soldering.
|
Is that cut radio tray the esc mount? Is it going to be strong enough?
|
yup thats the esc mount its really sturdy. i might bend it up a bit but we will see when the packs get in
|
well its done just waiting on my new body to come.
the mmm came in and its installed and ready to go i will be doing some practice on saturday. http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g1...8/DSCF1087.jpg http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g1...8/DSCF1089.jpg http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g1...8/DSCF1090.jpg |
Looks great Eli. :yipi: You could use a littel wire management to keep anything from getting sucked into the gears.
We are gonna really be in for some carnage next sunday. The way you drove w/ the nitro was out of control. I can't imagine what its gonna be like with more power. lol Now all you need to do is get an Xray and you'll be all set. :na: |
i started working on the wires after the pictures were taken i realized thye look like poooh lol but its going to be a learning expierence no more blip blip blip thats going to be the heardest thing to learn not to do.
No xray for me im hooked on AE |
Are you running 4S lipos with the 3D?
Cool conversion! |
Looks good, so how did it go?

Update I have had some bad luck first my mmm goes out so i sent that in jhautz sells me a mm to run and my motor goes out 2 days later i ordered a motor for my truggy a 1515 2.5d so i ran that in the buggy this weekend i got beat badly lol itsa a whole new dribving style going from nitro everything temped in a ok range and the buggy was flying now the driver needs to figure it out. i changed the way things are mounted ill egt pictures tommorow its alot cleaner of a install now i cant wait to race it more  |
well here are some new pictures i moved the speed control to the chassis and hid the wires under the battery tray it looks alot cleaner now

Whats with the sticker.... Its not a nitro toy anymore. You are poluting your nice electric buggy with that dirty word.
If you read this, Im only kidding Tom. |
ill make sure i send him a email with a link to this thread. lol the decal will stay just like the one on my power supply
|
Since you are a recovering nitro guy, I just wanted to know how you thought it drove relative to your nitro rc8? What is the hardest part switching from nitro to electric for you?
|
it sucked lol well i sucked the hardest thing is being smooth on the throttle and not blipping it it felt great to clear things the nitro guys didnt have the run up to clear. jumping wise it jumps alot flatter then it did when it was nitro. it used to get squirmy in the air now it goes up even
|
He was out there last sunday making a quad out of the first 2 sets of double, double, double. The nitros couldnt even make 3 let alone 4 with the short run up it had. I looked at him on the drivers stand right after he cleared it the first time during his qualifier and he was grinning ear to ear.
.....:mdr:...... ^^^^^^^ Picture of ELI driving his brushless buggy. |
