Speaking of boats...
So I'm thinking about getting an RC Boat.
Has anyone every run one of these or heard anything about them http://www.proboatmodels.com/Product...?ProdID=PRB375 I thought this one looked cool and hey it's already brushless |
Buy a supervee 27, great boat. I was not impressed with the proboat hardware, not as nice as the sv27. I got 44mph out of the sv on 4s lipo and a x642 prop.
|
I'll have to check that one out.
I don't want to chance running my LiPo's in the water, ever had any get wet? |
So Linc how bad is the hardware on the Proboat?
I like the looks of it much better and my LHS has one in stock Can it be upgraded if needed? |
I did a little research on the Supervee 27 here are a few links
http://cgi.ebay.com/AQUACRAFT-SUPERV...QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/New-In-Box-AquaC...QQcmdZViewItem http://www.aquacraftmodels.com/boats/aqub17-main.html and remember since I live in the desert I know nothing about boats.....LOL, maybe some other members can chime in...we all know Linc lives near the water |
Ya I did a little checking too. I really like the look of the Proboat though.
It looks like it handles rougher water better too. Thanks for the help, but I'm think I'm going withe the PB |

Remove the stock epoxied batty trays and use velcro. And get an octura x642 prop. I sharpen and balance my own props, takes about 1 hour... With those mods and some cheap lipos I got 44mph out of my boat. No real need to upgrade the electronics, they work fine. Stock radio is ok, but I went for an fm unit I had laying around. |
I have since gone to Rum runner racing and Off shore electrics and have taken in a lot of info and never realized how big FE boating is and it seems like the SV27 is the popular boat to get. Is Aquacraft the Traxxas of RC boating?

Damn, that is fast. I may need to sell some stuff and buy that sucker! I do like the supervee, but the new esc in the hyodro is nice with the lvc for lipo. 64mph on 4s is pretty good, that hull design must be good. Where did you find that info? I would like to read it. |
Linc I would link u too it but I'm pn my blackberry
Go to rum runners and do a search for that boat .....its a real long thread |
