60% now

I just got another 5 points-warning over at the Traxxas.com forums from "cooleocool" for typing "Hell". That's the most blankadyblankblank (don't need more trouble) thing I've heard of. I also got 10 points last spring for posting 2 non-Traxxas items among many TRX items in my ad so right now I'm up to 60%.

Just so you don't think I'm just ranting heres the post I placed and they edited. It's #13

http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.php?t=436144

I had "Hell just add two more batteries and run them in parralel"

It's refreshing that I don't have to worry over here about getting 20 lashings for a word that could be used at the dinner table with a paster or anyones mom.

George16 09.04.2008 12:04 PM

Don't lose sleep on that guy:). He's a moron. He edited a couple of my posts and closed the thread after telling him "I will not stoop down to your level" after having a disagreement with him.

However, I still have 0% warning :intello::intello::mdr:.

big greg 09.04.2008 12:24 PM

i just got banned over there not to long ago, i got points for selling an hvmaxx 6.5, who woulda thought, somthing specifically made for the emaxx, and it was only a link thats it lol, then got points for selling a maxamps pack with my rustler vxl, its bull really, i dont like how they run business over there

suicideneil 09.04.2008 12:24 PM

Yeah, but UE servo saver am gay! (thats what I ment though, about UE copying the other designs, then traxxas copying the UE and proline design).

Any word that activates the profanity filter on the idiot forum will get you warning points, so its best to edit the post (30 minutes to do so).

Im currently on 88%.... :mdr:

bustitup 09.04.2008 12:42 PM

LOL...I'M ON 40% what a joke........for kidding with Neil about being on line all the time they said I was disrespectful to another member

Traxxas "Online Community" moderators = Forum Nazis

TBH, they have every right to be. If people don't like it, they will leave. Then, there will only be a bunch of 10 year olds posting asinine words like OMG, noob, lolz, and other drivel. Let cooleocool moderate that!

JThiessen 09.04.2008 01:08 PM

I got banned a couple years ago for calling one of the Mods knowledge out on the table (Razor, I believe). Asked him to back up his statements with facts, and he went over the edge.

suicideneil 09.04.2008 01:19 PM

I do find it amusing how many of the noobs thank cooleo for his help in the emaxx forum, yet he has a 7 year old truck running stock titans and stock everything else pretty much, all bar the radio and some rpm bulkbraces. How can you expect a forum to mature and move forwards when the guys running it are stuck in the past?...

It's already there. Most of the people are noobs that worship other noobs who constantly tear up their trucks. Then they wonder why the fail too by following these morons.

Really neil, I think you are just jealous of cooleo's truck because you know yours could never hang with it! :diablo::na:

I do not try to get warning points but do not hold back either, so who knows.

skellyo 09.04.2008 01:28 PM

I've ended up staying away from the TRX forums specifically for the lack of maturity of the members, whether mods or otherwise. I've also stayed away from URC lately too because it seems the only folks that post there are teenagers throwing their opinion in on every thread that pops up. Of course, everyone kissing Jang's ass for throwing a buggy body on a slash and making a video of it is a bit annoying too.

My primary 3 forums I read now are rctech.net, rccrawler.com and this one. Of course, I especially like the mods on here because some of them buy my old stuff.

Wow! Warning points for mentioning alcohol? Those guys need to get laid and loosen up a bit (wait, can I say that here Brian? :oh: ). Oh wait, they'd probably issue warning points to themselves for even thinking about it.

lol. Seriously, there is an "add an infraction" button on everyone's posts, but I don't know what it does (if anything). I would add one for myself, but it's not available on my posts.

Edit: I just added an infraction to a spammer's thread, but it didn't do anything that I could tell.

I'm definitely in favor of humorous moderation.

I like how the mods at rccrawler do it. When someone starts complaining or whining incessantly, they change their avatar to something like this:

So I posted links to my profiles and they all shut up real fast. Those forums are a JOKE. IDK why I was there, but it was sure funny! hahahahaahah Those forums blow, and everyone there is stupid as hell, or just a jerk, I wont say stupid kids, because im probably the youngest of everyone on most all forums... haha

kulangflow 09.04.2008 06:14 PM

Mine are almost 3 years old, but I still get to look at that "40%" thing every time I log in.

I offered a guy some better A-arms once and another time I offered to part out some E-maxxes I was selling at the time.

Both times I was seriously trying to be helpful to other members.

Man, now I remember why I never returned to that stupid ass forum... I got banned right off the bat for bashing traxxas and selling non traxxas items years ago. I think we should all right a het letter and send it to cooliocool.:whip:

emaxxracer15 09.04.2008 08:07 PM

Lol I love the traxxas vehicles, but damn reading that forum makes me cringe so bad. Worse than the guys on NK who claim maxamps are without a doubt the highest quality lipos money can buy without testing any other packs haha.

I still think the MA fanboys are worse. :diablo: At least most of the Traxxas kids can be convinced to try different things.

Honestly, I spend as much time on TRX as RCM. It seems like TRX is grade school and RCM is grad school. I'm sure Neil will agree. We're teachers over there, and students over here.

BrianG is a professor on both campuses. :intello:

I get dumber posting on there forums. Im just waiting to be banned. Its been a whole few days already:na:
