OMG, incredible:lol:
I can't imagine that people will pay for that stupid thing.

brushlessboy16 09.06.2008 09:07 PM

the one guy talking about tha capacitor had some idea what he was talking about, lol

all there missing is
ESC resmoker
"has your esc let the smoke out while running? use our patented e-syringe to restore your electrical components to factory condidtion"

Includes one 2oz bottle of e-genie

Topspeedtimmy 09.06.2008 10:34 PM

You can't pay for anything there, just donate money to him (the hilarious guy who made the site) for the imaginary expenses of imaginary super awesome products.

Arct1k 09.06.2008 11:53 PM

This one is great!

People these days can sometimes be dumber than rocks. I swear....

What's_nitro? 09.07.2008 01:10 AM

I think this is actually a legit product. WeatherGard

Too bad they end up wanting $30 for it...

BL_RV0 09.07.2008 11:51 AM

I'd dip all my ESC's in it if it was clear.

I'd bet money this isn't safe to use with lipos:

lol, well, that can't work... unless there is some new A/C battery technology I haven't heard of. Judging by the appearance, it looks like one of these. Besides the fact they only work on AC, they operate at ~60Hz (much too low for high efficiency and low weight), and don't have near the power levels we require.

brushlessboy16 09.08.2008 04:55 PM

the concept is there.. someone should make a real one(e-nos)

BrianG 09.08.2008 04:57 PM

lol, just checked out some of their other "products". Fuel line diode? Muffler bearings? And I just love their "+2 Channel Extender Kit":

They do, it's called a switching power supply. A123Racing had something like that where you dial in a boost in voltage. There are problems with that approach though; switchers are "power transfers". For a given power level, increasing the voltage on the output by 2 will increase the current drawn from the batteries by 2 (not even counting losses due to switching efficiency. Then, this type of thing would need a very large coil, particularly on the input to effectively pass that level of current.

its all good..

:D

Arct1k 09.08.2008 05:18 PM

Tony used them here : http://stampedeproject.com/RC-Car-Tr...onversion.html

brushlessboy16 09.08.2008 05:20 PM

now that u mentioned it i do remember seeing those.. just couldnt figure out how they worked

and brian, the enos, just the capacitor and some sort of switch to allow the cap to charge but then release its energy back into the system via radio and pwm... not a voltage doubler

What's_nitro? 09.08.2008 07:29 PM

About the E-NOS, if you have a pan car running 4 cells (4.8V) you could use a BEC set to 6v* to charge a large capacitor. Then use a relay on a third channel to activate the "NOS".

*Assuming said BEC is capable of boosting the voltage.

Takedown 09.08.2008 10:37 PM

WeatherGard Review- "Can also be used as a cheap permanent pair of gloves".

I remember calling A123 racing and talking to a tech about those boosters. Said they were only good for about 200-300 watts max - lower powered brushed motors only that need a little "kick".

Guess even they new that trying to do this in a high power system would require a really high current source and a huge converter array.

BTW - does anybody have a transcript of this thread? Look like Traxxas took it down.

RUSTY XL-5 09.09.2008 10:01 AM

looks like they took it down :sarcastic:

Arct1k 09.09.2008 10:11 AM

This one is priceless - Electro Sound http://www.unbelievablerc.com/detail.php?pid=10

http://www.unbelievablerc.com/pictures/electrosound.jpg

Envious of brushless-running battery-heads? Want to drive your nitro vehicle in the cul-de-sac after hours without neighbors calling the cops? ElectroSound(TM) with engine noise dampener is what you need.

Scare nitro drivers -- if they think you're driving electric, they'll give up without a race!

If you can't afford an electric conversion, ElectroSound(TM) is the next best thing!

That is a load of BS!

Have a look at this one
