Cool - I love it :L: G-Maxx's are coming out of the wood work. Another cool project. Great shoot of the G3 arms fully extended. I've been meaning to take one just like that to compare with the stock range.
You should try to attach an image to your post. I think you just need to keep it at or below 640x480 pixels. I had pop-up problems also. |
Finally got the body cut as well as, put on some zombie tires.

Sexy!

Quick question...I know that the gorilla is a race suspension. however, I am seeing almost 0 articulation. Is this due to the suspension or are my shock springs too heavy?
|
From looking at the picture, it looks like you have the Beefier newer A-Arms.. How are they holding up?? I haven't had time to run mine yet. I will probably test it if the weather is clear this weekend.
|
Nice truck. You should be getting some flex but not a whole lot. I just got to running my GMAXX for the first time and I love it.
|
Heavy springs. You could get away with only using 4 springs, as those springs are pretty heavy duty.
|
nice truck,. thats all i got to say.
|
how you like those zombie maxx tires? i might get those or mashers

I believe he got them from Ramtech, but they are no longer offering them. I may be able to get some if you have a style in mind.

Elite -
When you have the truck suspension set low - you don't want that much articulation - unless you're driving over a trench you'll just dig your skids into the ground :D The levers and lower tower change the geometry of the suspension - as you said - it is a race suspension. When you drive it you'll notice the truck is more stable and less bouncy. Take a look at our site - we added a few new photos on the G3 page showing the range of ride height (both high and low) In both cases it is better than the stock. Now this is ride height not articulation but it gives you an idea of the set-up range. The higher setting has a closer articulation to the stock. If you are just looking for maximum articulation - try attaching directly to the lower arms (without the levers) - use the last hole on the tower for clearance (this is not a racing setting - but could be good for crawling) Hope this helps :) |
thanks for the info George
