What's Linc up to
He hasn't been on all weekend. I can only imagine the debauchery. Let's all brainstorm what he might be doing. I say midget bowling. What say you?

I missed that one. I can't believe Nic Case sold it for that price. He probably got it for free though lol. If that was the motor used in his speed car, I would put it in a sealed container plexiglass display case.
|
Are you telling me I bought this from Nic Case? No frickin way! He stated it was good to 55 volts, he probably actually tried. That's awesome. Got a 55v esc for me Lutach?!

I want to put it on pletty's chassis slammed low on phaltlines for a speed e-maxx. His chassis is as long as a lightning with monoblock. What voltage do you reccomend?

Ha. I'm gonna e-mail him and get the lowdown. Maybe an autograph to go with it.
|
That motor could probably propel that chair of yours up to about 30mph....you gotta work Lutach's sympathetic side to get that ESC out of him.

My 1521 has gone 140mph, how fast has yours...
This is straight from Nic Case. 140mph. Wow!
|
|
I dunno if you have driven those phaltlines on an emaxx before, but they are turd handling tires that blow off the rim at 55mph. Just a warning before you blow $80 like I did

In a straight line you can pull 60 if you buy them seperatly (rims and tires) and glue them yourself. They have some crap glue on them and dont handle well in turns. My opinion, but many others aswell.

exactly , HPI bought some bad batch I guess, they look cooler than any other street tire but they just dont handle or hang on. Have to go foam if you want good sticky
|
thanks for the advice. I wanted unmounted tires so I could tape them anyway. Do you think a bead of silicone might hold them?
|
I Would Say.
In my opinion if you are going to go for some high speed, then you should use Axial Beadlocks and maybe even put a little bit of glue on them anyway just to make sure that nothing has the chance to come loose. if it does let go it will have to be because the tire came apart. Besides taping them Harold you will most definitely have to balance them if you expect top performance from your wheels at high speeds. Nice hookup on purchasing that 1521 so cheap. I think it will work out pretty well with Pletty's new chassis when he begins to deliver them. I am on that list as well, and cannot wait. I am thinking of purchasing one of the 1527's as well for testing. I think this is going to be a good year Harold:yipi:. We are going to have some fun.
