hoovhartid 12.19.2008 07:10 PM

E-fanatic 12.19.2008 11:57 PM

What rims and tires are those I like them?

BashemSmashem 12.20.2008 01:17 AM

Those are the stock wheels and tires from a Duratrax RTX , picked them up really cheap off Ebay .....

Unsullied_Spy 12.20.2008 07:34 AM

Looks good, but shouldn't this be in the Revo section?

E-fanatic 12.20.2008 08:19 AM

Thanks Patrick , I had too pay homage too CC with the Mamba snake :intello:!

Gotta let those nitro guys know what went flying by them on the track !

I have too say the more I run it the more impressed I am with the Mamba Monster combo ! After having brushless minis for so long its great too have the brushless 1/8 systems ! Once prices drop and it gets cheaper too run brushless I will be converting all my R/C's !

Your color choice is perfect. Great paint job.

BashemSmashem 12.23.2008 09:41 PM

For a body like that I would charge 20.00 too paint it (2 hrs work and supplies) , its was pretty easy too do .

I just copied the graphic from Castles website , printed it up too the correct size , then drew it on the body (with liquid mask on the inside) and then gently trace it with a #2 blade Xacto knife , peel then paint , peel then paint , done !

BashemSmashem 12.23.2008 09:44 PM

Thanks lutach , it looks alot better in person . The candy blue backed with silver metalflake really pops in the sun , there is silver metalflake in the black outline of the snake and the hood and roof scoop also , but the camera doesnt pick it up .

That's how I usually color all my bodies if they don't come painted already lol. A few light coats of blue and some silver to back it up. I love blue .
