To wing it or to not wing it. The Slayer
2 Attachment(s)
I put a wing mount for the revo on the slayer and taped a wing from my Losi on there. Had to cut the body a bit but didn't want to drill different holes in the wing so the wing is a little crooked. What do you think?
Check out the link to the pics. I took 8 differnt shots at different angles so there are side by side comparisons. Here's a slide show with comparision shots. http://s212.photobucket.com/albums/c.../wing/th_1.jpg Slide show seemed a little slow for me. Here's the link to just the gallery. With the same shots taken. http://s212.photobucket.com/albums/c...20Slayer/wing/ I'm still undecided if I like it or not. |
Looks pretty cool with a wing, sets it apart from the rest!
|
i like the winged look
|
I say go for the wing, because it also adds some protection.
|
WING IT!!!
|
I think it looks stupid with a wing. It's like those rice rockets I see out there with a big-ass wing sticking up as high as a 2-story building :rofl:.
|
i say wing it!

but as you can see most people like it.. so you wont be hated on at your track if thas what your worried about:lol: jk if you think it looks better why not!? |

It's a corr truck, not a honda civic mommy bought for you that you modify with the money you earn delivering pizza's. :diablo: Put that wing on there and next you'll add a v-tec sticker to add horsepower! :oh::lol: |

LOL Nice wing on that one.
All knotted up, 9 to 9 - going into the 4th |
Or like an old POS rusty Astro van with a huge spoiler, and actual spinners. Ugg, just the bolts holding the wing on was worth more than the entire vehicle.

I'd go without it unless it became a necessity to protect the body. |

I dunno, I'm just not feeling it. Maybe it's the lighting...

That is just to funny. I was just thinking about all the laughs RCM provides and low and behold!
The dogs would definately try harder to catch it. |

BrianG 1-up'ed me.

I said wing it, because it looks tasteful, not ricey. However, it will affect the aerodynamics heavily
|
Now it's 12-12.
|
Yeah, looks like we're going into overtime. 12 all.
|
I still think it looks great with the wing but instead of asking us why don't you run it with and without and see if there's any handling advantages. One of the reasons I say to wing it is it will be easier to identify your truck on the track.

+1:yes: |
Does it double up as a wheelie bar like on the revo?

BrianG, you forget the multiplied advantage of adding the V-Tec sticker to any car but a Honda, this gives out 10 times the power of the NOS sticker. If you put a TRD sticker on your Honda windshield though, you will gain a guaranteed 75 horsepower at the wheels and smoke anything that comes your way. |

It's now 16-15, no wing.

I like the wing. I like Hondas too, but sans any non-factory wing.

It was a pretty close poll. 19 to not wing it and 17 to wing it. I ended up not winging it may some other day.
I've always been a fan of fat tires on cars. It may come memories of the 70's but I don't still bell bottom jeans. I found a use for some tires I had sitting on the shelf. Some big ballon style off a Kyosho Inferno US Sport. Actually work really well on the Slayer. I just stripped it down today and cleaned it up today. Should of take the pictures before I went out to test it. What do you guyt think? http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...r/DSCF7656.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...r/DSCF7657.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...r/DSCF7658.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...r/DSCF7659.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...r/DSCF7661.jpg |
