traded my savage

I traded off my savage (without any of my BL stuff on it) and the TNX plus alittle money and i got a FG in return.

I still have the motor mount and battery tray but do not need them now, if anyone wants them i will sell them cheap. it is made for stock length TVP and a 7XL motor from feigao

Anyways i am kind of sad but i did not like it that much, so i know it was for the better, i am putting the 7xl and warrior into my emaxx, and maybe customizing my packs to fit in the gmaxx chassis.

dabid 12.13.2005 10:07 PM

Hey, I'd dump a couple of my vehicles to get a FG too, don't know if it'd be the Savage though.

toby 12.13.2005 10:08 PM

the savage was getting on my nerves. always broken or something wrong from the power, and i did not have the money to upgrade it. so i got the FG and the mone i make from ym job will go towards my emaxx

mack 12.14.2005 06:42 AM

toby 12.14.2005 03:54 PM

what parts should i be changing?

mack 12.14.2005 06:07 PM

What I should replace

Conversion kit from plastic to alloy diff
A alloy big 2e gear carrier
A hard steel first gear
And this you have to do when you tune it because I already broke them
Wheel squares hardened steel
And at last make a good cover for your air filter
Some panty or so

I hope you all understand what I just told you.
If you have any more qeustions just let me know ;)

toby 12.14.2005 07:01 PM

i have an air cover, it is plastic with like 4 holes in the end, i know he has aluminum diff cases ( i bought it used with upgrades) aluminum servo saver

mack 12.14.2005 07:14 PM

Yeah bud the plastic air cover cost performance
That one is for sound reduction

http://www.oneillbrothersracing.com/

Do you also got a tuning brake??

toby 12.14.2005 08:19 PM

i wiwll drive it tomorrow or friday, so i can tell you than and thanks

mack 12.14.2005 08:26 PM

You probely need a tunings brake!!!
And a alu gear plate

And you got a tuning exaust so I think you beter order some.
Wheel squares hardened steel

How many CC is it

toby 12.14.2005 08:37 PM

26cc, and hardened steel squares? like the hexes inside the wheels or on the axle pins? cause they are aluminum

mack 12.14.2005 08:45 PM

The alu ones will get hot and then your inbus screw wil get loose
and if you try to get it tight again it wil pul out the screw-thread
This hapens to me and to one of my friends.;)

toby 12.14.2005 08:53 PM

got a link to the ones i need? I got everything soldered up so all i need to do is add my gas

Can i run 2 stroke SNOWMOBILE oil? and if it is 25:1 how many caps of oil do you think fit i nthe stock tank so i do not have to mix it in a gas can?

squeeforever 12.14.2005 08:54 PM

how big is the stock gas tank?

mack 12.14.2005 09:09 PM

Look at this link. and type "wheel squares"search
And then you have some options bud I think you need the nr 8406 or 8406/1 you can see how thik the alu's are
http://www.pitstop-shop.nl/

With the casoline I always get 5liter and drop 200cc oil in it

If it is 700ml than you need 28cc of oil bud if I was you I put it in a 5liter tank;)
Its 4cc at 100ml

rhylsadar 12.15.2005 04:51 AM

hi
you should only use high quality 2stroke oil like motul800 or panolin etc.
i would definitly buy a 5L tank to mix the gasoline with the oil.
i never had probs with the alu hexes so far. just fix the inbus with loctide. you have to heat it up with a gasburner to lose it again.
for the airfilter i put a second oiled filter (part no 6513) over the first one.
bye
rhylsadar

toby 12.15.2005 08:16 AM

only oil i could find so that is all it gets for now iguress

mack 12.15.2005 09:15 AM

iguress ???????? don't know what you mean here.:C:

Bud I have to say the same as rhylsadar.
It's beter to use a good oil for high rpm (motul800) I use this one.
Bud a friend of mine also uses cheap oil for chainsaw And his truck is 5 years old and still drive's (its a old type motor the one you have is much faster so if you can buy some good oil
;)

toby 12.15.2005 09:18 AM

mine is "low smoke, low odour, -40 premium snowmobile oil) tc-w3

mack 12.15.2005 09:25 AM

Thats the problem if you bahs it hard it wil get heated and come off I know this out off more than once experince
;)
If you have a tuned FG, the power wil be that much more and
whit the steel once you also have to use loctide.
Bud some how the will stay on and if they come loose the arend broke the screw-thread.

I would be change them it's only 7or8 euro

rhylsadar 12.15.2005 12:46 PM

@toby
i really do not know if this is a good oil you are proposing there. it should be a synthetic oil for high rpms. i would risk a motor just to try. but of course you can do what you want with your beetle.

@mack
i see your point. and sure it is not an expensive upgrade. its just that i never had problems with them whether in the mt nor with the leopard. and i have a PaSe tuned motor in the mt. but well whatever it is a detail. ;)

bye

Are you also have a tuning exaust??
Because that friend of my broke his when he put his tuning exaust on to his 26cc PaSe tuned MT.??

By the way are you from holland and if so where from??

rhylsadar 12.15.2005 05:17 PM

hi
i normally drive with the fg tuning pipe. it only gives more power in the lower rpm not high rpm.
no i am from switzerland. sorry ;)
rhylsadar

Dafni 12.15.2005 05:26 PM

Rhyl, I heard there are quite a lot of FG beetles around here. Do you know of a place where you can race those big trucks?

Sorry for the hijack

toby 12.15.2005 06:03 PM
