FullyMax Lipo's "Great Prices"

I was doing some research on these packs after seeing a post on rcm about them and found out that their prices for what you get are acceptionally good.

Take for instance this 4200mah 2s 35c cont saddly pack for $76- http://rc-mushroom.com/product_info....ducts_id=16250

Compare that to Minamps 4400mah 25c saddly pack for $135...- http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.ph...-Saddle&cat=95

And Fullymax's 5100mah 35c 2s saddle pack for $92- http://rc-mushroom.com/product_info....ducts_id=16252

Compared to Minamps 25c 5500mah pack for $165....- http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.ph...-Saddle&cat=95

And take a look at this, A 5000mah 35c 2s HC pack for $86- http://rc-mushroom.com/product_info....ducts_id=16251

Just thought I'd share this.

Interesting, I would like to see them on a gfx or some other sort of test equipment. I would also like a look inside the case, see what their construction technique is like!

Zippy also has a 4000mAh 2S 25C hardcase lipos for $27.99 (shipping was only $12 on the slow boat and took less than 10 days). I've got two of them and will be running them with a Medusa 60mm 2000kv motor and MMM. So far they seem okay, I hope to get some ET data on them this spring.

Great news.

This is great news for us. Things are finally reaching the point competitive wise that it is driving the prices down somewhat. With all of these different manufacturers coming out of the woodwork the prices have to fall. Soon eveyone will be able to afford LIpos, which is how it should be. Like I have been saying with what is actually inside these battery packs the prices have been inflated quite a bit. MaxAmps really drove the prices up and made some bank off of the hobby, and now things are finally catching up. Thank God. These new cells are interesting and the prices are much more reasonable.

Those had caught my eye as well, but have gotten horrible reviews. May only be $30 but thats a pretty expensive paperweight.

The only bad reviews I have seen were in refrence to the quality of the plug (fake deans) and connection to the case. I'll go back and look for some nore.

For $68 shipped to me I don't mind spending a little time checking over the case and building my own series connector (with deans and castle bullets). And as far as that being a expensive paper weight, expensive is definatly a relative term.

But if someone is unwilling to spend a few minutes looking over the zippy or any other HC lipo they should probably stick with the brands that are known to have a better QC and overall quallity.

As I said before I'll post up any results I get from these packs once some testing is done. Good or bad.

IMO, that's not an attractive price for a relatively unknown brand. It's quite easy to get the same or more capacity and discharge rating from better known brands for less money these days.

highpowerhobby 01.21.2009 03:05 PM

The impakt rc pricing seems very high compared to Neu and zippy.

marzac2 01.21.2009 04:14 PM

Probably because Neu and Zippy are manufacturers and Impakt is a hobby shop.

Not to mention zippy is a Chinese manufacturer... So what did you expect?

Even though ImpaktRC is a hobby shop, the FullyMax 5S 4500mAh 25C lipo is still more expensive than other well known Lipos of equivalent or better ratings/performance. That's the problem I would have with buying a no-name brand pack.

highpowerhobby 01.21.2009 04:50 PM

And where do you think all the other lipos come from. Do you think any of them are made somewhere other then China, not hardly. i dont care if Impakt is a hobby shop I buy where I get the best price and zippy's are the best bang for the juan. I owned a hobby shop and had the best prices going and still had the customer who said ... I can do better on line , so thats what I do now myself. At this point zippy is not a no name , they are recognized and proven as a good battery.

marzac2 01.22.2009 01:25 AM

Zippy's don't even compare to the Fullymax cells.

The zippy pack I have doesn't even seem like it has as many cells as the fullymax, even though they are both 6S.

By the way. Good LiPo's are made in Taiwan not mainland China or even Korea. Also look out for EEstor cells being produced out of Texas. They might be the next "thing".

JERRY2KONE 01.22.2009 03:06 AM

What are they??

Also look out for EEstor cells being produced out of Texas. They might be the next "thing".

So exactly what are they, or what is so special about them besides the fact that they are made in the good old US of A? Are they just another form of Lipos, or some new technology that we have not seen yet:oh:? You have to give us more than that.....:diablo:
