My 3906

Hey guys! I thought I would share my E-Maxx with you guys. Tomorrow is my b-day, but I guess it came a day early. Here's what showed up:

MMM 2200kv combo
Aluminum bulks
3905 diffs
CVD's

I put it all in and wow this thing is a beast! :surprised: It has all the torque in the world geared 18/64. I also have a 3s on order so I can run 5s lipo. Here are a couple of pics:

Rear end-http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/o...3/P1010163.jpg

Chassis lay out-http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/o...3/P1010162.jpg

My setup is 4s 4500mah lipo, MMM, Castle Neu 2200, and a Traxxas TQ3:whip:(for now). What do you guys think?

There ya go. It looks real nice!

magman 02.27.2009 10:40 PM

Nice...If I may offer a suggestion...look into AL diff cases to help reduce flex, inner and outer cases. Or possibly in the future, Mike's hybrid cases w/1/8 gears in them. With brushless power the diffs may be the first to go.

Happy B- Day!:party::party: and I hope you have a great day tomorrow!:yipi:

traxxasbasher13 02.27.2009 10:46 PM

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like it. I was jumping it and I tried to do a back flip...I ended up hitting myself lol. I'm ok and so is the truck.

:lol::lol:

Any damage pics?

traxxasbasher13 02.27.2009 10:58 PM

No...nothing broke! It hurt though lol.

Metallover 02.27.2009 11:01 PM

I can imagine it. I bet it was like the one video on youtube of that girl riding her bike and getting nailed with a savage or something.

traxxasbasher13 02.27.2009 11:02 PM

Yea it was just like that except it hit me in the shoulder not the face...

traxxasbasher13 02.27.2009 11:08 PM

Here is that vid:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQAKcyMUlSQ I guess she got hit in the shoulder too lol.

traxxasbasher13 02.27.2009 11:21 PM

Wow...that had to hurt.

traxxasbasher13 02.28.2009 12:12 PM

Well I managed to strip a spur gear. The pinion fell off and eat it. I might get a vid, but i'm not sure.

Metallover 02.28.2009 12:23 PM

That spur didn't look the best at first.... A new one should last a long time. I bet that thing is blistering fast.

traxxasbasher13 02.28.2009 12:33 PM

Yea I should have gotten a new one a while ago, I just forget when I go to my lhs (I'm to busy looking at stuff I don't have the money for lol).

traxxasbasher13 03.01.2009 11:34 PM

Its still in one piece which is a crazy after what I put it through this weekend. I am still amazed what a real brushless system can do. I was used to a VXL motor and 4s lipo.

Locktite the grub screw.

traxxasbasher13 03.01.2009 11:58 PM

Yea I figured that out the hard way.

traxxasbasher13 03.06.2009 11:14 PM

I have been running this thing into the ground! I have only broken little stuff like a servo saver and some screws. I get 30-45min run times doing a mix of speed runs and jumping. I'm pretty amazed with the Mamba Monster combo so far. After a good 25min of driving the motor is maybe about 110F*. I am hopefully going to get a video scene I am on break for 2 weeks. I'm going to get some good pics too.

traxxasbasher13 03.06.2009 11:45 PM

Good Pictures!

Ok finally some decent pictures. I got the amazing idea of using a tripod, and it worked. Enjoy and tell me what you think!

Metallover 03.07.2009 12:26 AM

That sounds and looks great. Nice setup! I want to add you should gear it up if you want more speed because your temps look very managable.

traxxasbasher13 03.07.2009 12:32 AM

Yea I have a 3s on its way, so I'm going to stick to my gearing for now. Its geared for about 36mph right now on 4s, but when I get my 3s it will go 46mph on 5s. I am going to go to my grandpas farm soon hopefully, so I will get a video. I made a sweet track with a tractor, so I'm looking forward to driving on it. Last time I didn't have batteries.

traxxasbasher13 03.08.2009 10:49 PM

Hey I went to my grandpas farm today. I got a little vid...but it is crap. Anyway here it is.

Metallover 03.08.2009 10:50 PM

Thats sweet! What program did you use to make the vid?

traxxasbasher13 03.08.2009 11:03 PM

I used photobucket. I downloaded a few short videos, then did a remix. I'm glad you liked it.

traxxasbasher13 03.09.2009 07:22 PM

New vid!

My new 3s lipo!

New vid soon. I'm going to the park to run 5s lipo.

Metallover 03.09.2009 07:57 PM

For a second there I thought one of your 2s lipos puffed. :gasp:

What brand are those? GADEX?

traxxasbasher13 03.09.2009 08:31 PM

They are GADEX. They are awesome for the price.

traxxasbasher13 03.09.2009 08:51 PM

5s video.
