true rc 4s 8000mah lipo
i was looking at getting another lipo for my buggy. i currently have 2 lightmax 4s 5000mah 30c lipos that work great. but i was looking for something that gave me a little bit more run time but with out spending 300$ on a maxamps lipo.
i found the true rc 8000mah 4cell lipo. but it only puts out 80amps. i was just wondering if this pack is any good and would it hurt the monster esc casue its so low in amps. the book on the monster said it needs over 100amps or something like that. my packs currently make 150amps. and this one is only 80 amps thanks. |
What c rating is the true rc pack?

Im running the true rc 8k 10c in my e-revo with the castle monster combo and they run way better than all 6 of my enerland 6k 25c packs. They are more than enough and a good value.

Why don't you just run your flightmax batteries in a parralel? btw I'm getting one of the exact same lipos once they come back in stock...

I have a few flightpower 4s 30c 4500 packs, brand new. Pm if you are interested.

Im thinking i might be ordering some of these batterys. is any one running this battery in a buggy with a 2650kv or close to it motor. just wondering the run times thanks. |
a 4s 8000 pack will be pretty heavy in a buggy...I would just get a few more flightmax 4s 5000 packs
|
I've been running one of those in a hyper7 with a 1512 2d it never gets warm. I like my big purple bricks. Bash time is a good 25+ min.

oh wow. its not that much more then my current battery. and im doing a lot of stuff to lighten it up i think it well work pretty good.
thanks |
I wouldnt be as concerned about the total weight as the balance of the buggy
|
You need one of my fp 4500 30c 4s packs... Not much more than the true rc 8000 you are looking at especially after shipping costs... Maybe 10-15 bucks...
It is lighter, has 30c discharge capabilites, and looks better (not that it matters)... Check my sig and pm me... |

im switch to the tekno kit so it should be more ballanced cause the esc and motor and brake servo are on one side and on the other side would be the battery and the stearing servo. so should be pretty ballanced. |

Any reason that a battery swap will not work for you? |
i was trying to work around swaping batterys in the pits. was kinda hopping i could find something that i would be able to run the whole time with.
my current body is the rc8e body. its a big bigger so it can hold a bigger battery. tomorrow i well find out how big of a battery i can fit under it to see if this would work. |
It is big and heavy, 850g iirc. I still have my 3yo TRC 4S 8000 batt. I always liked it. Always performed well, never that much out of balance and has lasted a really long time. Seems a bit big for a buggy tho.
I always used it w/ an XL motor and a MM. Never blew up on me. Who knows about the MMMs tho.... |
need price two thank you
|
I have been using one with a v1 monster and a v2 monster with no problems. I bought three of the trc 8k bricks for a good buy or I would never have tried these jumbo packs, but I like them. I haven't even balanced my 4s 8ks in like 20 cycles. I do like having the piece of mind of having the longer runtime when bashing.
