Spektrum
I want to know if some people have the spektrum stuff. I having problems with glitch and stuff with my current set up. It is driving me crazy. If I get the new set up will it fix the problem. If not I am about ready to go back to nitro. :( I like the electric when it runs right. Some one please help me.
|
LOL..
one thing and he falls from his believe.. No schulze went up in smoke yet and you have got your doubts about electric.. To be honest; You life in the sticks, no one can be boughtered by a nitro noize.. You've got this K4,6 savage, why don't you try it as a smoker? |
Tried as a smoker. Kind of like it. But I like the electric to if I can get it to work right. ;)
What kind of system you run rene? Or any one else. |
Any one else has the spektrum? I like to know how it works with a bk and schulze controllers.
|
it shouldnt have ANY problems because it is make to eliminate all glitching because it constantly changes frequencies depending on other frequencies around. i think...

NOMADIO
|
Why nomadio?
|
nomadio is a pretty good system although i would say m8 or m11 with spectrum.

"1) We last longer on a charge.
2) We have 6 times the output power 3) We have built in telem included 4) We have full digital throuput not AtoD with the AtoD lag 5) We are FHDSS not parked on one ch. 6) We have feedback from the radio you can hear and feel 7) We are software driven so updates are simple downloads 8) We have 40 model memory 9) We have the same RF link as BOMB Squads use 10) We have a much higher frame rate 11) We send 32 packets of data per hop 12) We have a real time RF link quality graph so you can see exactly your RF output 13) We will not slow down as more traffic comes on 2.4Ghz 14) We will slow down other 2.4Ghz systems as they take time to reject our packets 15) Weight! 16) We can expand to more chs with software downloads if needed 17) We can select servo output High frame rate for digital and lower for Analog with no loss of speed per servo per memory. 18) We can remember receivers with no need to re-bind per memory 19) We can give YOU the ability to make your own programs with our developers kit. 20) We are so ugly that crooks will take a slow Bling radio first. " I pulled the above from a recent post onthis thread . Hear is another thread. |
It sounds expensive. I was looking at the spektrum kit that goes in the hitec agressor controller. I like my hitec controller it just don't work with my system at the moment. That sounds awesome though papa. I not sure if I need all that. I probably be the only man with 2.4 technology in the redneck basher club. :D
|
Im running a spektrum with my new rig and a BK controller with
no glitching at all. Not to sure what to recommend to you coolhand. Do you have access to a seperate rec to try to fault find. All wires intact, no cut or damaged wires? Power okay? Sorry mate, just trying to help as my system has been faultless. Dont give up on electric yet, I actually find my electric far more trouble free than my nitro. Good luck Tambo |
I am not sure, does the spectrum module even work with that radio?
|
It accually does papa. The modul in the back of the hitec is replaced with a spekturm. It even has it's own atenna. Is that cool or what. I have tried the system with different stuff. I am running out of options. I was told it was a compatiblity problem between the futuba and bk esc. I have the same problems with three different RCs. I run them all on the futuba. It does work great with the schulze and nitro.
Here is a site with it. http://rc-mushroom.com/product_info....oducts_id=6252 |
I knew it worked with Futuba, However i did not know that the hitec was a module based radio. I have been kicking around the 2.4 technology. I figure sooner or later all the major players will addopt it. If you already have a module based radio the spectrum may make sense. However, if you are going to get an updated radio the sensor seems to have all the bells and whistles, out of the box. I like the idea of being able to get updates/ upgrades without having to send in the radio. Cost wise for a new radio plus spectrum your in the same ball park as the sensor. Add in telemetry and the sensor is a better value. IMHO
|
Well papa the hitec is here with me. So all i would need is the spektrum part and a few extra recievers. Then I can play hopefully. I just wish I know whether it fix my problem for sure. I don't have a problem of buying it. Just don't want to buy it and have same issues.
They give a better discription here. https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...=ns&pn=SPM1004 |
well i personally like the m8s and m11s but i dont think you would have any problems with that system since it replaces the futaba reciever which i believe is your problem. member, those recievers are upwards of 80 bucks a piece. a little pricey IMHO. i think a dx-3 would also be a wise investment or even a m11 with the spectrum kit since it runs about 400 about 150 less than the sensor. not to mention the sesor recievers are ALOT because of the telemetry.

Coolhand,
That is my exact spektrum system in my futaba radio(3PK). It works perfectly well with my BK controller(20120). So if people are telling you its a compatibility problem, I would doubt their advice to you. Do you know anyone in your area with the spektrum system that you could swap parts with? Good luck with your problem! Tambo |
i dont have a spektrum system myself but several friends of mine do and they have no problem with them it must just be something wrong with your setup.would an exposed servo wire cause the glithching?
|
I not having a problem with the spektrum cause i don't have it yet. The compatiblity problem is with the futuba it self. I don't really have anyone around me with rcs. Well I supposed to get one from a close buddy that is not futuba. I going to try that out first and it that works out I may got for the spektrum and see. I figure it out some day. thanks for all your input.

But nobody i know is having any problems with the spectum were i live they all love it |
Has any one run a spektrum with a li saver on a bk. My lvc kicked in and it went crazy. Wide open reverse. The tires swelled up and stuff. I don't know what happend exactly. Could some one enlighten me? I have the hitec with spektrum modul.
|
I have the Spektrum I believe when you bind the recever you can set the failsafe positions for throtle and steering, stock it is setup for nitro so it is setup for full break, when voltage is cutoff by the lisaver it goes to full break/reverse..... you are probably running a ubec though and it should be connected to the packs before the lisaver so the recever is always powered if that is the case then I dont know what is wrong, it seems like the recever is losing power for a moment and the specktrum takes a moment to come online and in that moment it would go to the failsafe positions. I would try setting the failsafe position to neutral, and also I have a capacitor from specktrum pluged into my recever maybe it would help.
|
Well it was weird though. I had to turn my tx back some during the run. Then at the end it went wide open. Not for a moment. It stayed there. The fail safe cuts the esc off not the rx. I may try the setting on the fail safe. I check this out.

coolhandcountry
i am run a hitec aggressor with a spektrum with bk 12020 with no problem |
Thanks gman. I got it straight now. I never found out the problem but went to other esc. It worked with the 9920. The esc in question was sent back to bk.
