Some bash pictures

I am loving this truck the more I drive it! The pictures were taken at 1/4 throttle due to me taking the pictures myself.

Good pics....You running 3S??? I have a stampede (XL5) with the VXL system in it......those are good systems and can be found rather cheap.

Yes 3s. Running a Medusa 36-50-3300 and a MMM in it.

Nice pics! i had so much fun with my Rustler. Simple, worked well, and ran quite strong. i am actually trying to get my old one back.

Happy bashing.

Nice pics...an infield is always a great place to run.

Sorry Just assumed that it had the VXL...Looks like it has some great power though.

I am in Wisconsin, about a hour north of Milwaukee. I love it on 3s. Today the motor felt kind of warm. I could keep my finger on it for about 5 seconds maybe a tad longer. Stupid me forgot my temp gun. However the MMM and lipo were real cool. On 2s everything stays super cool. I can pull wheelies at any speed with it. I am using 0.8 pitch gearing and running 19/56 right now.

About 1:15 from Appleton. Not too far at all.

Nice rustler. Looks very fun.

Metallover 04.04.2009 11:30 PM

You tore up a perfectly raked baseball field!!:diablo:

Oh wait, it's a wussy 10 year old softball field.

Always Dreamin 04.05.2009 02:18 AM

Look at the bright side, at least it was a baseball field.

sikeston34m 04.05.2009 10:20 AM

I LOVE this setup.

How long have you been driving it and how is it holding up? Stock VXL drivetrain?

I have an older Rustler that is going to be updated soon.

VXL transmission and cvd's will be part of the upgrade process.

I was thinking about maybe the Medusa 36-50-2200kv Motor powered by a Mamba Max on 4S 3200mah Flightpower Lipo. Then use Mod 1 gearing. Then maybe gear to the moon if I wanted. LOL

Always Dreamin 04.05.2009 12:24 PM

I converted an xl-5 to a vxl. it was pretty expensive to get the ugpraded servo, upgraded links, etc. But it was fun!

Not good on the wallet though...

Don't forget bearings! RPM links are great, they don't bend. I'd go with TBS bearings. Expensive, but very nice.

Why not just go for the 60mm if you are going for a 2200kv 4s setup?

I am using a 36-60-2000kv in my E Revo. It's one heck of a motor.

You have a good point there.

I have a 36-60-1500kv on hand. Hmmm.......can this be geared for 4S operation on the Mod 1 gears?

Time to consult the speed calculator.
