put a * beside the ones i need. Gorillamaxx carbon Fiber Chassis GorillaMaxx Suspension kit *Single Speed Coupler *Unlimited Engineering CVD all around *Unlimited Engineering center shafts *Unlimited Engineering Servo Saver *Unlimited Engineering 1/8th 6 spider diffs *Fastlane Machine Bulkless hybrid s*teel idler gear Feigao 7XL warrior controller again *lipo-race battery 16 cells-bash pack Tell me if you would change anything in therE? i am ordering everything with the star within the next couple days, it will be controlled mby my spektrum |
why just the single speed coupler? or do you mean conversion?
i dunno, mike told me the single speed coupler does the same thing and has 4 bolts instead of two which is nice comfort when you have an XL motor
ah, i see what your saying. you want to use the coupler witht he stock case for added stability although if that were a concern i would go with the flm half case and single speed conversion. that should be enough strength.
also a lto more money, i do not have a job and had to save probably for 5 months or more for that list!
i just understood your post when i read it, i read it that you ssaid buy the FLM case the entire thing, i never saw the half case. Would a Single Speed be Best for racing? and does it keep it in first or second?
You get constant engagement to the second gear. You will save some fifty grams, too. Some mods are needed to get everything in place. I'll get it along with my order.
alright, since i am racing should i get the chassis extension ket as well?
Chassis extension limits the chances of flipping and making unneeded wheelies. Its a good idea, imo for racing. You will gain enough control over the truck.
I have come to a hard decision
Save for the Victory Bulkless system or not. I want it and someone told me i need the 8 spider diff not the 6? |
i would go with the flm. no offense but ue is overrated IMHO. the victory system is 3 times what the flm is! also, serum sold his vbs system and got the flm instead st that must say something. and yes, the 8 spyder would be a good investment over the 6 but if im not mistaken coolhand runs the 6 and a 2250 without any problems as of yet.

I thought that UE was overrated at first too, when i only had a savage and no UE parts. When you got a UE part in hand and an FLM, you can tell by the finish and details that the UE is superiour) it is tough as possible. The word overrated makes it sound like you are able to have it machined yourself for 1/2 the price. (including the R&D) please don't use the word overrated for the UE stuff. I may be your opinion that it is too expensive for RC parts, but some people are willing to invest, and biased on their quality/finish etc, it is topnotch stuff for a decent price. BUT to be honest, the FLM 1/8th conversion is as good as possible, you don't need the VBS to be in the high quality zone. FLM covers the entire load. it is fair cheap, good quality and pretty darn tough too! |
Well, I''ll go FLM, then.
some guy told me that UE diffs do not fit in the FLM because only Mugen do or something like that?
Many people here are using 6 spyder diffs with FLM hybrids with no problems. MMdooley, Tambo and Coolhandcountry are among them. I guess Serum is using them in the Hybrids, as well. I'll be using them with the Hybrids, too.
