My "little" project

Hey guys, i have just purchased 2 sets of cvd's from mike and also suspension from him, i payed for it all yesterday and he said it will come thursday! (Now thats fast). I have also purchased gorillamax carbon fiber chassis and g3 race suspension from george (gorillamaxx.com). So far of the looks of it all of my stuff will come somtime this week. I will keep you guys updated with pics.

supermaxx 02.27.2005 01:15 PM

yes, please send some pics too!

that would be great and good luck, glue the sides of the cf chassis.

Sylvester 02.27.2005 01:27 PM

Thanks, so i should glue the sides of the chassis? Wouldnt that sord of ruined the look of it?

supermaxx 02.27.2005 02:59 PM

no not at all!

i have made a thred about this but it's real good for a long life of the chassis.

otherwise it will splinter or shiver after a while.

Sylvester 02.27.2005 03:02 PM

do you have a pic of showing where and how to glue it correctly?

supermaxx 02.27.2005 03:03 PM

No, sorry.

but it's real simple, you put good tape on the top of the chassis and then put the second glue with a brush on the sides of the carbon.

Sylvester 02.27.2005 03:04 PM

oh i get it, i will have to do it once my chassis arrive, thanks.

Sylvester 02.27.2005 03:05 PM

what glue would you recommend using?

supermaxx 02.27.2005 03:06 PM

okay

good luck!

it's not difficult and your chassis will be better prepared for a longer time!

supermaxx 02.27.2005 03:08 PM

I have used just second glue.

that don't leaves nasty things and is real thin, so you won't see a difference.

Sylvester 02.27.2005 03:08 PM

ok , thanks, now for glue, what type??

Sylvester 02.27.2005 03:09 PM

ok, where did you get it?

supermaxx 02.27.2005 03:11 PM

you can get that everywhere, it's just 5 bucks or so at your local hobby shop or even your supermarket or office shop.

Sylvester 02.27.2005 03:13 PM

ok thanks, so its just called " second glue"

supermaxx 02.27.2005 03:16 PM

yes, that's ho we call it in our country because it drys in just a couple of seconds.

Sylvester 02.27.2005 03:17 PM

ok! thanks again, so you have a e-maxx? what hop-ups do you have on it?

supermaxx 02.27.2005 03:21 PM

I have had multiple e-maxxes but just gave on to serum (also on this forum) with ue racerX suspension and much more!

now I am going to built a HB stadium pro truck to brushless, the convertion will be made by serum!

Sylvester 02.27.2005 03:25 PM

well good luck on that and have some fun with it for me once its completed. :)

supermaxx 02.27.2005 03:26 PM

I also have to get it here through mike and then let serum build it!

good luck!

Sylvester 02.27.2005 03:29 PM

i cant wait to start my project, i still have to order a couple of parts, but once the main parts come its time to put it all together!

supermaxx 02.27.2005 03:32 PM

It's always great to get new things and build it yourself!

Sylvester 02.27.2005 03:33 PM

yup , especially when it comes in a package and your ready to just open it up and install it :)

HotnCold 02.27.2005 04:24 PM

Second glue

Second glue is usually called CA - or tire glue - ( like crazy glue but designed for the hobby world ) it is available in all hobby shops. You want to CA all the edges of the chassis - around the outside of the chassis and everyplace you have an exposed edge. You can use a q-tip - to put the CA on - just a tip for ya ( no pun intended ):)

Sylvester 02.27.2005 04:34 PM

ok thanks hot

Sylvester 02.27.2005 05:46 PM

well i got my cam working now i just need the parts and i can take some pics :)

Sylvester 02.28.2005 05:36 PM

ok now my stuff has been shipped :) !!!!!!
