Here is my other money pit, a Losi 8T 2.0....lol

Let you know how it turns out....all parts have been ordered...just waiting now. MMM 2200 combo going on it.

_paralyzed_ 04.23.2009 03:27 PM

Nice! I was wondering when we'd see more from you. I'm glad the r/c bug has bit you again.

BrianG 04.23.2009 03:34 PM

Those bodies look really funky though. I can't decide if I like it or not...

crazyjr 04.23.2009 05:42 PM

You're running 1/2"offsets on that, Is it even legal width now?

jzemaxx 04.23.2009 10:10 PM

Our track has no width limit.

suicideneil 04.23.2009 10:20 PM

BL knows no limits...

agreed, they are quite interesting though

jzemaxx 04.24.2009 08:37 AM

They are different indeed. I was stuck between this truggy and the rc8t. I need a backup truggy anyway so I may go pick up a rc8t today anyway........LOL

Could you pick me one up too? I need one also.

jzemaxx 04.24.2009 09:39 AM

LOL.....actually my LHS just got a order of RC8T-E's in....if they have any left, watch for pictures of it this afternoon...LOL

nitrostarter 04.24.2009 10:18 AM

Nice!

I like the body! That just added 5mph and dropped 2 seconds on lap times...lol Honestly like it tho...

jzemaxx 04.26.2009 09:33 AM

Well I picked up the RC8T-E. Got to say both truggies looks excellent. the RC8T-E though is not a completed roller. I had to assemble the kit, but its nice and complete. Its now running as well....will have pics of it soon.

The Losi 8T 2.0 in the front and RC8T-E in the back.....

nitrostarter 04.27.2009 11:24 AM

Nice! But clearer pictures are even better... LOL

MMM2200's in both?

jzemaxx 04.27.2009 11:26 AM

sorry about the pictures....my camera on my phone sucks.

The RC8TE is running a full 2200 MMM combo. The Losi is running the MMM controller, but a true NEU 1515 1Y/F

nitrostarter 04.27.2009 11:42 AM

Nice! Any runtime yet?

A truggy will definitely be my next vehicle of choice! I love driving my buggy.

jzemaxx 04.27.2009 11:52 AM

Yeah.....on twin 3's they will run for about 25 mins on the track. The NEU motor though runs about 30 deg cooler.

Finally a finished product with 2 painted bodies. First race is tomm....

SidewaysLS4 05.01.2009 11:19 PM

Nice! So which of the 2 do you think is better build and quality-wise?

jzemaxx 05.02.2009 10:09 AM

Quality wise I would have to say they are both very close with the nod going to the losi due to the shocks not being composite.

Comparing the RC8T-E to the 8T 2.0 is tough indeed. I love them both and will use both this season. As for driving....just depends on your style. Out of the box the Losi turns and rotates much better around turns but is very loose (oversteer) on the track and requires braking much earlier for sharp turns. The RC8T-E is opposite, and understeers so you can go much deeper into a turn, but you have to begin to turn much sooner and sometimes requires carrying less speed through the turn then the Losi to avoid pushing wide. Also turning radius on the Losi is much better. The Losi turns in a 34inch radius, the RC8T-E does it in 42inches.

SidewaysLS4 05.02.2009 12:32 PM

Cool, thanks. Interesting about the turning radius, a new variable to consider in my quest for a 1:8 truggy, lol.

jzemaxx 05.02.2009 09:43 PM

I'm looking for the solution to my turning radius problem now for the RC8T.
