Hello everyone,

Little story first.

A friend of mine wanted to become a day trader. He asked me if I could help him as I used to be a stock broker. So I asked him if he knew anything about buying and selling stocks, well he didn't. I didn't go into the details so I set up a game for the both of us to play. Now, I waited for the perfect timing as the stocks were on a free fall (Did a little research on past down market). We decided to use $1,000,000.00 to start with. So I went on to buy some stock and didn't much care which one it was and he went on to buy what ever he thought was good. A few other people joined as well. At one point I was in last place with less then $450,000.00 and they were all making fun of me, but being patient in a down market is crucial so I waited. Now my friend is in last place and everybody seemed to have lost interest in the game :lol:. Little do they know, things have gotten a little better now. I went from less then $450,000.00 to over $7,000,000.00 in less then a year :yipi:. If anyone wants to join the game here is the site:

It's me. Just thought I woud let more people know as most of the ones playing the game is not active. Join and have fun.

I used to be a stock broker before 9/11. After 9/11, I decided to stick with just electronic components.

Ahh I see. So is the game based on real-life stock performance?

Yes. Only downside are a few bugs from time to time and a 15 minutes delay. Join up, who knows you or someone else will surpass me.

I forgot to mention, don't mind my Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc stocks, I'm going to get the most shares I can just for the hell of it :lol:. I'm also the proud owner of 10 BRK.A shares (Bought each share for $100,350.00) :rofl:.

Hey I found it and "joined' but when I click "make a trade" it says I'm not playing in any games. ???

The good thing about this game is the fact that if you have any insider tip, you can buy or sell without getting in trouble :rofl:. What you buying :whistle:?

So you made an acount, then in the search area to find a game you typed Brasilian and when you do join you have to use the password Corinthians. There's still only 10 players and when you join it'll be 11.

it worked. im not doing so well at the close of the day....

It's ok...good thing it's only a game. Just buy more of what you think is going to move. I noticed you still have some cash/buying power to play with.

Exactly. I used to be in last place a few months back. So be patient in a market like this. I just waited and let my investments do their job.

Remember you guys have a cool million (two million to be exact) to play with. The way money is made in the game (In real life too) is the more shares you buy (The more you invest in the company), the greater the return can be....if the stock goes up :yes:. Now this is just a game to have some fun without loosing real $$$$. It does have some bugs, but it gives a good idea of what can happen in real life.

i bought a BUNCH of shares yesterday at 5 EST, after the market closed, but all my orders still say 'pending'. how long does it take to reflect your orders?

They all went through. There's a 15 minute delay. I've had share pending for a few hours and after I cancled them, they went through. It's one of the bugs in the game lol. You still have more $$$ to mess around with.

I joined the game but I can't make a trade. I see the names of different players but didn't see my name.

I think the 15 minute delay might be in affect here as well. It's been a while since I've signed up, but when I did everything was pretty fast.

I guess I'll wait until it's midnight here in Japan, 13 more minutes.

Hey I did alright yesterday. +0.52% overall. FSLR better start pulling their weight though... :grrrrrr: Their sales are up 47% since last year... I don't understand why they dropped so much.

Yes, you did alright. A lot of stock dropped so much for no particular reason. Things will get better. I just want to have 100,000,000 (Or more) of Lehman Brothers using just the Buying Power :lol:.

I try to stay away from high priced stocks. I just have 10 shares of BRK.A just to say I have it :lol:, but did buy it kind of high. My biggest mistake was DRYS and a few stocks that aren't even listed anymore and I can't even sell them :lol:, but I should be ok by the end of the game. I got real lucky on RT.

Now, if you hadn't posted that nobody would know!!!! :lol:
