Wanting to prevent Breakages on my Emaxx, HELP.

Hello All. Thanks for having me here. I am new to the RC world, but have a beautiful GF, with an awsome and fun father that is really into this.(He got me to where I am today with RCing...)

Im still a newb, and need help. I Keep breaking parts on my E-Maxx...my Mods are below in my Sig. I have Two sets of the 7-Cells, but fear they are going to killi my speed controller...so I might convert 1 set to 6-Cells..

Anyhoo...I just bought the MIP Center Driveshaft Kit(Tranny to Diff's..), and Need some good Bashing Driveshafts..(Diff to tires)...What do you reccommend to me? I need something that wont bend, or should I say can take some abuse. Remember, I have a "stock" E-maxx, so could you be kind and link me to the parts ill need? Thanks Guys!(After the Driveshafts, ill be asking sometime soon about better Diff's..then a good Tranny kit).

Hi Nick

I used Proline mip cvds on my stock emaxx. i got them off ebay, they work really good. I just did a quick search on ebay for "maxx cvd" and there an auction there, auction number 6029522907

Well, the reason I state I have a "stock" emaxx, is becuase ive been to UE, and all the different sizes confuse me, I dont have a G2R, or and EXT Emaxx, so I tried to just clear up some confusion. I hear MIP's arent the best, so Im looking for something a bit better.

Also, I dont believe I plan to go Brushless with THIS Emaxx...but JIC, you can set me up for the Future?

Also look at the RDLogics cvd's. You can also get them from ebay, or Mike stocks them here.

anyone do me the favor of posting the like to the correct ones thatll fit>?

maxxdude1234 01.18.2006 04:02 PM

http://cgi.ebay.com/RDLogics-CVD-FRO...QQcmdZViewItem , thats what you want.

Or you could just to ebay and search for 'maxx cvd' . Unfortunately rc-monster no longer stocks the RDLogics cvd's, only the expensive ue's and MIP ones

*edit* If that link doesn't work then goto www.ebay.com and type in 6029945560, thats the item number

i woudl go with the ue 8mm. http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/...re/13502S.html

coolhandcountry 01.18.2006 04:52 PM

the ue is not going to work with the stock knuckles. I would suggest the 6 mm version of ue. The are stronger than other cvds on the market.

RC-Monster.com also carries this set of CVDs:

Thanks For the Help Guys, So RdLogic's...Or T-Bonz...or Better Yet the UE's....

My Question....which exactly will fit my setup, UE wise? I hear one say 8mm, the other 6mm....hook me up on which size...after this it looks like new diff's...then on to the tranny..but need these first..THANKS!

Basketti 01.19.2006 03:26 AM

If you want UE get the 6mm cause they fit the normal size bearings. I heard that rdlogistics cvds are the weakest

coolhandcountry 01.19.2006 08:54 AM

I personally have seen broken mip and rd logics. I have yet to break a ue. The 6mm fits you stock knuckles like basketti says. The 8 mm are little better but the 6mm are stronger than others.

TraxxasTRX 01.20.2006 02:59 AM

So then, will the 8mm Fit my Stock E-maxx?

Basketti 01.20.2006 07:57 AM

no they wont fit cause the hole in the bearings in the knuckles are 6mm not 8mm

Awsome, Great...Thank You Guys! BTW...would upgrading the "knuckles" be at all a costly job, or something cheap..that I might aswell do?
