thanks

They are under a year old so yes - just send it in...

big greg 05.27.2009 03:56 PM

was the bearing "RUSTED" lol sorry i couldnt resist

BrianG 05.27.2009 04:11 PM

Wow, a 2650 in a CRT.5! The motor must weight more than the vehicle.

RUSTED 05.27.2009 04:18 PM

loool , nah it wasnt.

yes, my crt.5 needed a motor since those cheap hobby city motors didnt last 1 and a half week , and the 2650 was sitting in the box so i said y not put it on the crt.5, first the bearing on the rear hub broke , then the bearing on the motor

nitrostarter 05.27.2009 04:22 PM

Ever put a couple drops of lube on them?

RUSTED 05.27.2009 04:36 PM

nope , it basically like new , ive only tried it twice on my buggy, then sold my buggy and the motor sat in the box for a couple of days then i put it on the crt.5, at first i thought that the shaft or gears broke but was surprised that it was the motor

Hello,

I swapped out all the bearings in my 2650 and 2200 for ceramics from Boca. The rear cover does come off, but when I did the epoxy pulled off some electrical tape that is wrapped around the wires coming out of the motor. I easily added some new insluation (shoe goo) and off I went.

Motor is very smooth, and very cool.

I used these from boca.

I will post pics tonight

I was also curious, what sized bearing do we need to replace the Tork Flux motor ones?

It will be the same. The Tork motor is a CC2200 with a different can.

prhess 05.28.2009 03:07 PM

I am assuming that they run they 5x16x5 bearing as well.

The tork 2200kv is the same motor as the neu castle 2200kv, but is black instead of green

Arrrrgh, I meant what size are the dumb bearings!!! :whip:

prhess 05.28.2009 04:15 PM

5x16x5

5mm - inside diameter
16mm - outside diameter
5mm - thickness

I know this for sure as I have replaced my castle-neus bearings. The front and rear are the same size.

Freezebyte 05.28.2009 04:34 PM

Ah ok, perfect. I wonder what are the best bearings I could put in the Tork motor when it comes time to do so?

RUSTED 05.28.2009 04:42 PM

are the stock bearings on the castle 2650 motor ABEC 1 ???

There were the best I could find

http://www.bocabearings.com/main1.as.../C3_Z/S_#5_AF2 - 99.99 a piece
or
http://www.bocabearings.com/main1.as...=SMR625C-ZZ_#3 - 17.99 a piece

But I went with these due to cost

http://www.bocabearings.com/main1.as...MR625C-YUU_NB2 - 11.99 a piece

RUSTED 05.29.2009 02:11 AM

i think im gonna order the abec 1 bearing u listed which is the one u got , cause the others say that they r meant to be used in a clean enviroment.

if i get this can i only change the front and keep the rear stock, and i opened the can there are some scratches on the magnet i think from the balls when they flew out of the bearing will it affect anything on the motor

SpEEdyBL 05.29.2009 02:30 AM

On a side note, anyone have trouble keeping the bearing snug inside its socket? When I had to clean out my motor, the rear bearing would easily fall out of its socket and that cannot be good. Any suggestions on what glue to use would be appreciated.

any thread locker will work, i use green loctite at work for 5-12in diameter bearings, works well

Freezebyte 05.29.2009 12:43 PM

Holy hell, $100 for a bearing? No thanks.

RUSTED 05.29.2009 12:54 PM

i think the best is the 11.99$ one, because its made for rc motors and its ultra sealed , others require to be ran in relatively clean environment , gonna order it today

nitrostarter 05.29.2009 01:21 PM

I would send that motor in to castle if the bearing went out already...

RUSTED 05.29.2009 02:12 PM

im not sure if ill send it cause sending the motor would cost me more than the bearings , and if it doesnt get accepted for free repair cos i have no receipt i only have the receipt for my of the mmm combo from the lhs , will they accept that ??
