I gave my dad a 30 back massage..
And told him everyday I'd give him 5 tmore minutes..
Sounds wrong doesn't it.... Linc.. don't start!

Also washed his car.
Nice and shiny big fat Toyota Previa!

So, what did you guys do/give/get!?

Gave my dad a chainsaw - Makita 64cc 20" bar model. He needed something smaller than the big Husky he already has. I picked one up for myself too.

I didn't get my dad anything since I haven't spoken to him in about 7-8 years because he is a tool. I got a new shirt (the missus doesn't like my shopping procedure; which is limited to Walmart usually) and pictures taken (at a studio) of my two little ones. Perfect!

I got my dad a Nitrous bottle. Last weekend we were real tight on nitrous (we only get 2 run per bottle). So i think one more bottle will give us just enough.

skellyo 06.22.2009 01:45 PM

I got a HP laptop and I'm taking my dad to the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona in a couple of weeks.

bigboi146 06.22.2009 01:53 PM

I got my dad into the hobby.

rawfuls 06.22.2009 01:54 PM

Hahaha, badddd mistake!

:]

Are you paying for the broken/extra parts too?

rawfuls 06.22.2009 02:00 PM

BrianG: Sorry to hear man..
Wife get ya anything? ;)

Boosted: Nitrous... for what!? :D

skellyo: Sounds like a fun thing!

Metallover 06.22.2009 02:02 PM

I got my dad a $20 gift card to a Sports Bar called tailgators.

Arct1k 06.22.2009 02:27 PM

I bought myself tires and wheels for my super crawler...

Then i seemed to cook and clean up for the family all day...

rawfuls 06.22.2009 02:37 PM

Haha, sounds like a PERFECT Father's Day!

Metallover 06.22.2009 02:40 PM

My dad went downstairs to the new couch, reclined, and watched the game on "56 inches of pleasure"; then he fell asleep.

No problem, it's not great loss believe me. Picture a useless drain on society with no potential for contribution and you can picture my father. May sound harsh, but that's the way it is.

On a lighter note; I don't have a "wife" (not since the divorce anyway), but my g/f is the one that got me my presents.

Went to Austin Tx for Fathers day and had a blast with the Family. Visited different parks and food joints that were on the foodnetwork. Was a nice roadtrip.

schofield 06.22.2009 03:05 PM

i took my mom, dad, wife and two kids to breakfast. - $70
took the wife and kids to the lake. - gas money and picnic lunch

a whole day of the wife not having to see the house or cook = priceless

what i got was a quite day of not being in trouble.

rawfuls 06.22.2009 04:03 PM

Jeez, sorry to hear again Brian!

Hope the GF got you something more than just a shirt

schofield, haha, you still had to pay for that breakfast! Or did you not?

Well, she did, but I won't go there...

rawfuls 06.22.2009 04:07 PM

Oh boy.....
Got you... a breakfast in bed?:party:

kraegar 06.22.2009 04:09 PM

I got some new bling for the grill (Grill Mitt, New grate... I love grilling), played with my mini slash, took in a ton of racing (Indy, F1 & Nascar), and mostly just lounged around all day.

Was a good day!

Tony

Well, I don't eat breakfast, but yeah, close enough.

Speaking of racing, I had 2 free ticket vouchers for the Indy racing in Newton IA for Sunday, but I forgot to call and reserve them before Friday night and wasn't able to go. Poo. I'm not heavy into racing (especially Nascar), but Indy would have been neat to watch.

kraegar 06.22.2009 04:16 PM

Sunday's Indy race was a good one, too... once they got all the early race crashing sorted out.

magman 06.22.2009 05:26 PM

For father's day I had the house to my self....I did not need anything else!

got my dad some new bluerays, grilled out at his house, and...got him icecream......he loves some that icecream...

mistercrash 06.23.2009 08:49 AM

My dad got a phone call from me and that's about it  I wish I could've driven 550 miles to see him but I couldn't. I missed a big race at the RC club, the Great Lakes Off Road Challenge Series to be home with my son and wife on father's day. My 5 year old son's gift to me was when he suddenly decided to get on his little bike that doesn't have training wheels and started pedaling on his own like a big boy :mdr: I may have missed a cool race but I'm glad I didn't miss this milestone in a little boy's life. I was running after him, jumping and cheering, camcorder in hand. I looked like an idiot

rawfuls 06.23.2009 10:55 AM

:rofl::rofl:

I bet he scared you to death when he got on though!

mkrusedc 06.23.2009 11:01 AM

My Dad is 91 and in a nursing home in TN near my mom and sister so he got a phone call from me. Hopefully i will be able to go see tham sometime in July.

I got a digital camera (The wife dropped and broke the other one) and a hitch to haul my jetski!! No more borrowing trucks from the brother-in-law.

B005T3D Fox 06.23.2009 01:04 PM

Hey Rawfuls, My dad drives a big ol 68 sattilite (like a roadrunner with some trim) and does this thing weight alot!! lol He's running a 10.5 outlaw class, so we went to the track for a race and 4 rounds in we ran out of bottles. It was the semis and we were down to are last bottle. We lost but next race we will be spraying more at it. ;) Next race will be 1 run a bottle. Now this is an expensive hobby lol

lutach 06.23.2009 02:30 PM

I got a phone call from my beautiful daughter (She's on summer vacation with her mom), got to relax a bit, watched some racing and futebol (soccer), got a nice e-mail from Mr. Matthew Orme and wished everyone here a Happy Fathers day.

My father passed away when I was 5, but I still remember the times I spent with him, funny 'cause I'm not good in remembering names and phone number, but I can't forget faces, things I did and things people say to me and my daughter (One member knows exactly what I'm talking about). I do sometimes get e-mails mixed up , I'm only human you know .
