Losi Short Course Truck?

http://www.losi.com/

See coming 7-9-09

Says see why competition is a good thing and the pic sure looks like a short course truck to me. I find it funny that when TRX came out with the slash many said it was just a fad, same thing was said about the T-Maxx many moons ago too so oh well......

It looks horrible from that picture. I bet they just rebadged a XXXT

Which is the same thin AE did.

I wish they would do one with a link suspension and a solid axle. That would make some realistic driving characteristics.

gtxracer 07.02.2009 09:21 PM

Yep, and be cool as hell. And yes, AE did the same thing but at least they tried to be scale with the mudflaps, cage, etc. Also, the SC8 wasn't just a rebadge, they actually put some thought into it. Plus they sponsor one of the CORR trucks and got replica bodies :)

I was talking more about the SC10.

Yea right they are the leaders in innovation...

LOL JK that is pretty all Losi has been doing the past 2 years minus the 8ight and 8ight T.

Forget that short course crap, take a look at the limited edition mini lst2!!!!! It Even has metal ring and pinion for increased lifespan!!! Yay, now I can get 4 packs instead of 2 thru my crap truck before rebuilding the diffs!!!

Looks like losi is badge engineering as bad as GM did in the late 80s till now...

I like some of my losi products, and their rtace division seems to be turning out good stuff, but the toy division seems to be stuck on stupid... Ohhhhh, they have a speed nt, a nitro truck that does 60!!! Wow, nothing like a jato 3.3...

BL_RV0 07.03.2009 12:17 AM

I know!!! And the speed-t does not at all resemble the rustler vxl!!!

iTz Nicholas 07.03.2009 12:22 AM

It really wouldn't be bad if they actually did some R&D vs. changing the body and a few other minor things and calling it new model.

BL_RV0 07.03.2009 12:24 AM

Really.

"I wonder why my mega baja has exactly the same performance as my lst2 but cost $150 more..."

"Oh yeah! It's because of that new awesome body!"

You mean aftershock, not lst2... Lst2 costs 650 bucks or something crazy like that... Nice truck, but best got used as a roller for 100 bucks!

BL_RV0 07.03.2009 12:35 AM

D'oh!

maxair45 07.03.2009 01:28 AM

By the pic it looks like a scale looking car(just like the sc10 and slash). I'd buy it if it was reasonabally priced, which is no more than $200 for a race roller. I was thinking sc10 to get involved with the short course class at my local track but i'd rather stick with losi.

I don't think any r/c car has ever left me more ticked off than the mini lst. POS out of the box, and still is.

My MLST2 was the first truck I got, and I hate it. Still have it, the front diff needs rebuilt, again, and I just can't bring myself to tear it apart again.

You can send it my way if you want too. Ill be more then glad to take it off your hands. lol

I had a mslt as well. Tried just about everything to make it work, but no luck... Ended up with a ball diff in the center and modded viscous diffs front an rear. Had about 20 runs on it when I sold it, and I took a massive hit, just wanted rid of it...

BL_RV0 07.03.2009 11:54 AM

I had a MLST as well. Just used a 2s lipo and the viscious diffs. It was kind of fun to play around with indoors, maybe outside if I found a smooth dirt surface,
