I think I will have to rethink my decision on getting a SC truck now. I definitely love the 4WD and other features the Hyper will offer. I was thinking of converting a Slayer but I'll wait for this...

brushlessboy16 07.28.2009 10:32 AM

its called the Blitz

rawfuls 07.28.2009 10:38 AM

Oh god.. Another SC truck....

The Blitz only has 2WD though...

iTz Nicholas 07.28.2009 10:40 AM

I'm pretty sure the Blitz is coming from HPI...

Arct1k 07.28.2009 10:45 AM

Two Blitz's!

From Ofna web site...

The BLITZ (verb) is coming! OFNA leaked out to this reporter that it is planning to offer 6 different "Short Course" vehicles in the 4th quarter of 2009. I can't offer anymore information on the SC vehicle designs, but I can say they have been seen dominating at a local track.

nitrostarter 07.28.2009 10:51 AM

6 different SC vehicles???? WOW!!

Arct1k 07.28.2009 11:12 AM

could be blue, green, red, yellow, black and clear bodies...

But I'm guessing maybe a 1/10th and 1/8 elec and nitro versions maybe with a Pro / RTR variants as OFNA are a bit behind in this space....

Thats what I was thinking as well. Different variations in the model offered.

Finnster 07.28.2009 11:53 AM

Wonder if its based of the mini-hyper or so...

BL_RV0 07.28.2009 01:18 PM

Based on the hyper 7 methinks.

Some new info courtesy from neobuggy.net:

jnev 08.04.2009 03:25 PM

That looks really good. I am glad that more 4wd 1/10 scale vehicles are finally coming out. I am curious if the electric version will simply be a converted gas truck, or a newly designed electric truck...

nitrostarter 08.04.2009 03:32 PM

3 oil filled diffs...Hmmm Sounds nice!

Finnster 08.04.2009 07:23 PM

Man, the Jammin SCRT 10? With three diffs, sway bars and awd? I still have a good hunch that we may see a redone CRT.5 as a SC truck. Really great truck, but never quite caught on as a mini truggy. Stretch it out a bit, add bumpers and a larger body and you have a pretty good SC truck. Would make sense too if you could reuse certain parts to have to avoid retooling and duplicate parts. TRX is a master at that.

Arct1k 08.04.2009 08:06 PM

Its a redone hyper mini ST...

I've just watched the vid for the first time - if you look at the begining they show a shot from the rear and it has the same arms and rear bumper...

haha, I knew it was a hyper or .5, makes too much sense. :yipi:

yeah me.

magman 08.04.2009 08:53 PM

Hopefully the a arms will be stronger than the crt.5

Snipin_Willy 08.04.2009 09:05 PM

I wonder if I can pass my CRT.5 with mikes chassis off as a SC truck if I put some SC tires/wheels on it along with a body. Look at the wheel base it would be quite a bit shorter than a slash.

+1...I'll give it a shot.

eovnu87435ds 08.21.2009 02:22 AM

anybody find anymore info on this yet? with the original release date being august 09, you would at least think there would be some more info other than a video by now.

fsracer 08.21.2009 06:52 PM

That is awsome, I sure will be in line to get one.

I've run my CRT.5 with the Outlaw SC class at our local track, but it's really not fair to those poor Slashes. lol

eovnu87435ds 08.22.2009 06:29 AM

here is your shot at owning the very first Hyper ST!! and RTR for only $235 shipped its quite a bargain

That's a freakin' awesome idea. I bet a 1/8 buggy would do even better.

lucias 09.03.2009 05:02 PM

Is it getting closer to being released? or was this already out there?

I'm very surprised to see a Mamba Max in there. I know when I ran a MM 4600kv in CRT .5 it got pretty hot. It wasn't until I put a 50mm Medusa in there that it ran without issues.

Nice pics, thanks for posting ! I think those are 4X4 Slash rims but in black rather than silver ? I like.

I have a Lightning Stadium 10, pretty much the same as CRT.5 and I myself have heat issues with the 4600. I bought a 2700kv 5mm shaft 50mm motor from HobbyCity and it runs very well (110degrees) on 3s.
I really like the Hyper SC but I'm leaning more torwards the 4X4 Slash for several reasons, Durability, weight, parts availibilty, cheaper in the long run and will run on 2s.
I bought (3) 2s 30C 5000mah packs from Hobby City deleivered for under $100.00, taht just can't be beat !
I beleive due to the weight of the Hyper SC 3s will be nessasary.
My 2cents
