Let us know how the Quark esc works, I am very interested in how it performs

coolhandcountry 02.06.2006 08:09 PM

I remember when my truck looked like that. I liked it clean. After a few crashes and bashes. It don't look the same.

maxxdude1234 02.07.2006 01:31 PM

Nice and clean looking....

boss 302 02.07.2006 04:23 PM

looking sweet

captain harlock 02.08.2006 03:44 PM

Well, probably many of you have tried it, but for those who did not: Use two cans of wd40 and two cans of CRC quick dry spray to clean the truck without damaging the electronics and have a shiny truck like the one befor unless you have anodized aluminum with tons of scratches, well..just replace it.

stampy 02.08.2006 08:00 PM

mmmmm purdy

bigabike 02.09.2006 01:23 AM

right now im stuck on how i need to hook up my SuperMaxx servo saver, do u use the stock tie rod that goes from the servo to the new servo saver?

That is what I did on all three of them I got.

orginizedchaos 02.09.2006 10:09 PM

any ideas for emaxx 2speed tranny, brushless, xfactor parts

markland556 02.12.2006 08:57 PM

ok, i need a little help. The bearing on the srobe slipper doesnt wanna go on, the bearing seems too small??
Also on my Integy suspension im having some problems with the steering. Here's a few pics showing the setup..
Pic1
Pic2

The turnbuckles are as small as they can get and it still seems like they are too long. And the knuckles seem like they dont allow very much travel at all.

Sylvester 02.12.2006 09:18 PM

try using the middle hole on the integy steering knuckle. It doesnt look long at all. as for travel try screwing in the pillowball normally and see what happens.

markland556 02.13.2006 12:36 AM

i cant use them. The screw is too wide to go into the turnbuckle.. idk how to fix it.. as for the steering it doesnt really matter how far the pillowball is in.

Sylvester 02.13.2006 08:24 AM

hmm i dont know than, do you have a stock length turnbuckle to compare?

Sneeck 02.13.2006 08:40 AM

Those other hole's are tapped for the hell of it. It's m4 I think.

Did you use any other type of rod end? If all else fail's get a rod end with m4 ball.

markland556 02.13.2006 03:32 PM

Thats kinda dumb. They wont work with the stuff they gave me. Kinda stupid. Its gunna be hard to find other rod ends that are going to work.

Also what about the strobe slipper. The bearing wont fit on the input shaft....

Sneeck 02.13.2006 03:49 PM

I'll hold integy comment's to myself.http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/...es/badidea.gif

Best thing to do is measure the distance between the servo saver hole and knuckle hole, measure how far the actually turnbuckle screw's in the ball end and also the length of the rod end.(center of the ball to the deepest point of the screwed in turnbuckle) Now multiply the last number by 2 and substract that figure with the length between the servo saver hole and knuckle hole. That's the length of the turnbuckle you will need w/ any rod end you measured.

Very hard to explain in english, hope you understand me.

markland556 02.13.2006 04:10 PM

i get it, but its really gay not to use the stuff they gave me and what its intended for.

Sneeck 02.13.2006 04:18 PM

Don't get it also. The length is way off. Mayb contact integy and ask them what's going on.

Sylvester 02.13.2006 05:18 PM

Yea, contact integy or ask mike what is going on.

coolhandcountry 02.13.2006 07:15 PM

Use the stock length turn buckles and you have no problems. The ones that came with it is to long. It works if you use the stock sliders cause you can have the knuckles out far enough. As for the strobe slipper you need to take a fraction of the peaks on the input shaft. Just kind of knock the points down on it. I had the same problem with this system. I have the stock turn buckles and so does mike.

Sylvester 02.13.2006 07:26 PM

And dont bother getting integy aluminum turnbuckles, they are WEAK!

coolhandcountry 02.13.2006 08:07 PM

That is accually what come in the kit. I don't know why they are so long though.

Mike.L 02.13.2006 10:52 PM

nice truck let us know when shes done! nice blue and silver theme going there love it

Mike.L 02.13.2006 10:53 PM

Sylvester 02.13.2006 10:55 PM

Mike.L 02.13.2006 11:00 PM

:027: :025: my bad tired:025:

markland556 02.14.2006 02:18 AM

Im only waiting on a motor mount and pinion from Mike that i ordered yesterday. All i need is center driveshafts, which Mike said he is producing in the upcomming weeks.

Also what length turnbuckles do i need to get?? Iv found:
96mm
102mm
105mm
108mm
118mm
all here:
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...CH=TURNBUCKLES

coolhandcountry 02.14.2006 09:31 AM

The 108 mm for the front 2.5 maxx. That is what you need.

markland556 02.18.2006 06:27 AM

Sweet, got them in today and they fit perfect. SWEEEET. Now all i need is the rod that goes from the servo horn to the Supermaxx servo saver... i came up with some part numbers, but they are at home right now. Gotta go to the hobby store and pick those up.
The the only part left for this project is the center drive shafts which Mike is working on (I hope) LOL.

Mike.L 02.18.2006 11:44 AM

beautiful!

Sylvester 02.18.2006 08:06 PM

Good to hear you got everything sorted out, markland556! :)
