according to you without Rollbar, risk to break off something?
Thanks Ettore

dabid 02.09.2006 05:10 PM

I run mine without the roll bar, nothing sticks up higher than the spur anyway though.

Is that the exended chassis though? Mine is, makes it handle and launch so much better.

virusss 02.09.2006 05:41 PM

Hello Dabid, not the chassis is the standard(no extended), you have other photos of yours savage?

coolhandcountry 02.09.2006 05:41 PM

That looks good. Make me want to build my savage up on the aluminum some.

boss 302 02.09.2006 05:53 PM

very nice truck makes me want a savage

Basketti 02.09.2006 10:52 PM

nice truck!! looks great! cant wait till i get my savage, its in the mail at the moment

dabid 02.10.2006 03:27 AM

That's the only pic I've got of mine right now, I've been lazy with that truck and haven't snapped any other shots of it and haven't driven it much either.

virusss 02.10.2006 04:17 AM

Thanks boys it has given some problem to me in the assembly,I wanted to leave it without rollbar, but I have fear to crack something if you had to turn over to me.

Basketti 02.10.2006 04:28 AM

are u racing or bashing? if your bashing i would use a rollbar

virusss 02.10.2006 04:51 AM

Why for bashing use and for racing not?
I use it for bashing

Basketti 02.10.2006 05:10 AM

well when your bashing if you land on the lid from a 10ft jump and you dont have the roll bar then your probably gonna hurt the engine. It depends how you bash? what do u do? big jumps? I always use one cause i do big jumps and have crashes when i dont land right.

virusss 02.10.2006 05:12 AM

Nooo, i bashing whit little jump, and speed run...

Basketti 02.10.2006 05:14 AM

oh ok, you should be fine without a roll bar. what motor and batteries are u using?

Serum 02.10.2006 06:28 AM

Looking good Viruss!! (a bit familiar.. :) )

Did you see the CF vertigo rollcage for the savage? it is beautiful!

virusss 02.10.2006 06:31 AM

Hi serum, thanks, no i dont see the vertigo rollcage do you have a link?
For you the rollcage is necessary?I hope to try the truck and the buggy this week and i made a video for Rc-monster forum friends.

Serum 02.10.2006 06:52 AM

Yeah, they make more very nice products;

http://www.vertigoperformance.com/

If you keep that motor low, you won't need one.. But they look soooo sweet.. :)

virusss 02.10.2006 06:59 AM

yes is very nice, but dont is in stock for now,i buy is late, for the moment i run without the rollbar

dabid 02.10.2006 11:00 PM

I'm gonna drop the body on mine down as far as possible to make up for the super low slung chassis, I'll pull them out of the standard spot which is on top of the shock towers, and mount them so the top is flush with the top of the tower. I'm going to run a ProLine body as well, not sure which it'll be, but their bodies are by far the most durable I've ever used.

Serum 02.11.2006 03:29 AM

A user on savage central, twisted toys, he makes this nice shocktowers, that are wider and lower (better for the ofna shocks imo) because they are lower, the body is lower too.

dabid 02.12.2006 04:15 AM

Yeah, they look pretty good and seem like they'd get the job done, but $60 is a bit much. I'll see if I can get the body low enough with the "free" mods I'm going to do first.

Sylvester 02.12.2006 10:49 AM

Very very nice savage, looks awesome!!

Mike.L 02.13.2006 06:23 PM

nice savage looks durable and strong ...get in some more pics and let us know how she runs:032: :005:

coolhandcountry 02.13.2006 07:35 PM

ON the savage tvps. Do i need the servo stuff or front plate or anything to go nitro?

dabid 02.14.2006 01:57 AM

Nope, it'll work fine even if you keep the stock stuff and bolt it up.

coolhandcountry 02.14.2006 10:07 AM

Thanks dabid. I just wanted to make sure. Hated to order it up and see I need more stuff. I just wanted to stretch the stock and lower it down. Not totally sure on the stretch yet. What do you think about it?

dabid 02.15.2006 03:39 AM

I'd go full stretch, I wasn't sure about it at first, but my truck now handles amazingly because of both the longer wheelbase and lcg. I'm sure the standard length one is nice too, and the bonus would be that you don't have to get a new body, I'm still trying to decide if I want to use the extended F-350 I got a while ago or attempt to use a MGT one.....

Serum 02.15.2006 01:53 PM

Have you got a link to those towers Dabid..? i can't find them anywhere..

dabid 02.16.2006 01:41 AM

http://www.freewebs.com/twistedtoys/index.htm
This is the closest I could find to getting the tower's page, just can't find it. I had the page the other day, but have no way to find it now.

mothman 02.16.2006 08:20 AM

it's www.twisted-toys.net. He has alot of awesome custom parts to offer.

dabid 02.17.2006 03:58 AM

Yeah, that's it, now why couldn't I remember the stupid dash between the two words?
