I find it disturbing...

That the highest view count video for Castle Creations on YouTube is the Barbie Jeep video...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nD-nJS9gqp0

TexasSP 09.03.2009 06:45 PM

Pretty gay for sure.

lutach 09.03.2009 06:47 PM

My daughter loved it .

JERRY2KONE 09.03.2009 07:05 PM

Sad

That is pretty sad isn't it? What is the world coming to?

PedeBasher 09.03.2009 07:20 PM

Its also a three year old video though. I am sure that really contributes to the sickness.

Byte 09.03.2009 07:45 PM

Well, what are you waiting for Castle? START PRODUCING BARBIE JEEPS!

if you find that disturbing you must not hang around here that often...

Finnster 09.03.2009 09:25 PM

HAHA I posted that years ago. I still get PMs all the time on how I did it, how I make awesome controllers, and other people linking me to their BL powerwheels projects.
Maybe I'll log back on and forward all that stuff to patrick.

I kept trying to explain it wasn't mine, I was just hosting the vid, but it didn't help. I gave up a long time ago and stopped looking at it. Maybe I should go back and edit the vid w/ the new tools they have, then again I haven't logged onto my UTube acct in quite a while. Sean or Joe had posted in comment early on (darkside of the moon guy.)

Baddass

BashemSmashem 09.03.2009 10:19 PM

How about making the power wheels into an RC ? Probably already been done ?

PedeBasher 09.03.2009 10:58 PM

... Thats what that video was of... A R/C powerwheels.

BashemSmashem 09.04.2009 09:11 PM

Its not an R/C if somebody is inside it driving ? !

he was just riding in it controlling it, not driving.

if that makes sense

e-rev project 09.04.2009 09:27 PM

actually another guy was controlling it, you see him with the controller early in the vid. the guy in the jeep is just getting a ride without control of it

nitrostarter 09.04.2009 09:34 PM

Especially love the slide at about 1:00...

Patrick did you have any influence in this project? I love it regardless!

Semi Pro 09.04.2009 10:40 PM

we love ours, nothing like a powerwheels jeep that will wheelie with a 260lb guy on it

I love the platsic wheels!!!!

big greg 09.05.2009 01:22 AM

well i watch it at least three times a day.....

_paralyzed_ 09.05.2009 01:34 AM

when will it go into production?? I want to put 10 MMM combos in it and go a gazillion miles per hour. can I do that with $5 ebay batteries in parallellellallel?

big greg 09.05.2009 02:40 AM

no you have to wire them perpendicular...duh!

shaunjohnson 09.05.2009 08:11 AM

you cant bagg the barbie jeep!!

nitrostarter 09.05.2009 11:33 AM

You would need 6831 li-ion packs to do that like the Tesla car....

hemiblas 09.06.2009 12:58 AM

That video inspired me to put dual 750's in the cruisin tunes barbie jeep on 24V. My daughter loves it. I didnt even realize it was possible to mod them till I saw that. Making it radio control is next on my to do list of projects as she started to outgrow it and now likes to ride her bike. I just need to find a strong enough servo to turn that steering wheel. I think the neighbors will get a kick out of watching a headless barbie jeep driving itself up and down our street.

nitrostarter 09.06.2009 01:02 AM

You could put 2 strong 1/5 scale servo's in. They can be had for cheap while yielding large power.

hemiblas 09.06.2009 01:06 AM

Ya I think I'm going to try that. I havent ever had any experience with the 1/5 servos, but that steering wheel is pretty tough to turn.

nitrostarter 09.06.2009 01:09 AM

Get rid of the steering wheel. Leave it there but not connected....

hemiblas 09.11.2009 02:18 PM

The barbie jeep I'm modding has standard mounting holes for a 550 motor and uses a 5mm 19 tooth 32 pitch pinion on the drivetrain. I've always thought about about putting dual 2200's in there, but just cant justify spending that much money on another project like this. Still would be a site to see on 6S though. This would land it somewhere in the 15 to 20 mph range with plenty of torque to spare.
Doh, I think I'm missing the point of this thread.

Put a small mannequin in there and go play in traffic. That would freak a few people out! (this is not a good idea, just a joke)

Kcaz25 09.11.2009 02:50 PM

Like the disclaimer. LOL

Why wait? Let's mod your chair now full auto BL and give Linc the remote. :diablo:
Be real nice and he'll drive you to the skate park hehehehehe...
I'll bring the camera and throw it up on youtube w/ this one. I'll even edit it and lay a soundtrack over it to help drown out the screaming and crying. I know Linc is an evil basterd.

RCZILLA 09.12.2009 08:09 PM

They should upgrade to the monster max now

While I'm sure there are some true power-wheels enthusiasts out there, I'd bet the use of the keyword "Barbie" is the reason for all the views. Lots more pervs out there than brushless guys...not to say the two are mutually exclusive.
