e-mike 10.06.2009 09:29 PM

where did you got this?????i want one:whistle:

brushlessboy16 10.06.2009 09:46 PM

Looks like a plane version of the 2200...

THe vertigo motors were outrunners last time I checked

nitrostarter 10.06.2009 10:01 PM

Looks pimpalous!!!

What's_nitro? 10.06.2009 11:02 PM

Hybrid inrunner maybe? Like the 600xl...?

lincpimp 10.06.2009 11:45 PM

Media kit pics of the vertigo line...

Pdelcast 10.07.2009 04:01 PM

The 2200Kv motor is a 1515 series (1.5" stator, 1.5" rotor)

The 1717 is slightly larger in both diameter and rotor length. Kvs are lower (about 1500Kv for a 1 turn motor.)

Available soon.

phatmonk 10.07.2009 04:03 PM

Here is the website I found this on.They have 2 differant Vertigo motors

BrianG 10.07.2009 04:04 PM

patrick, looks like you have the larger motor segment covered, but when are you going to release some ~60mm motors? Also how about some slotted, 4 pole 50mm motors?

Hmmm, something like this?

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...t/IMG_0063.jpg

That's a 1512, a 1717, and a 2025 motor side-by-side.

Pdelcast 10.07.2009 04:18 PM

And the OD on the end-bell for the 2025:

nitrostarter 10.07.2009 04:20 PM

Now we get some behind the scenes shots! I love it! Please provide more!!!

whats the power equivalent on the 2025 compared to Neu's?

phatmonk 10.07.2009 04:32 PM

Now its time to go to 6s and match it to the 1717 1500kv

What's_nitro? 10.07.2009 04:37 PM

I smell a 1/5 scale conversion kit.....

The 2025 is being tested now in a Baja. It's a bit much for the MMM though...

They are quite similar -- consider that Steve Neu will be getting royalties on sales from these motors...

lincpimp 10.07.2009 04:42 PM

I like the 1717 motor. Looks like a good 1521 1y substitute. I really like the 1521 for the larger 1/8 scale stuff, so I have a feeling I will be snagging some of the 1717 motors when I get a chance.

The big motor looks really good for a 5th scale conversion, or maybe a pair in a large 60+" cat...

High voltage. You know, 10S is good, 12S is better and 14-20S would hit the spot. Good thing we're not in Europe.

lincpimp 10.07.2009 04:44 PM

I think BrianG want something a bit smaller than the 1512 equivalents. Maybe a 1506-1509 sized motor, and maybe something a little smaller again, like a 13? series motor around 50mm long. Basically a 4 pole replacement for the cm36 motors.

Yeah, it is a good think. Not only would we be so poor from paying taxes that we could not afford hobbies, we would also be stuck waiting in long lines for health care. And you could not even shoot yourself if you wanted too.

That's a 1512, a 1717, and a 2025 motor side-by-side.

Good grief! That 2025 motor would make a good e-bike motor and would probably carry my fat butt around, let alone an r/c!

Linc's right; I was thinking of something a bit smaller. Basically a line of motors in between the CM36 series and the 15xx series. Medusa had a solid line of motors in that segment; the 36-50's were stronger than the CM36 motors (sorry to say that here, but it's true), so were a better choice for heavier 10th scales (eg: Slash) or smaller 4WD vehicles (eg: CRT.5). I tried a CM36 4600 motor on 2s and 3s in my CRT.5 and couldn't gear it low enough to keep the motor and ESC cool, whereas the 36-50-3300 stays cool and has noticeably more torque, even geared a little aggressively. Medusa's 36-60mm motors were good for the really light-weight buggies or overpowered 10th scales (or allowed higher gearing for 10th scale speed freaks). In short, that would mean 1506/1509 or 1409 sizes if using Neu ratings.

Taxes are taxes, but that's not what I meant lol. In Europe, you're not allowed to make our wonderful ESCs over 60V lol.

So when shaw we see one? My truggy is ready to go and since we are on the subject, are you going to make a sensored 4 pole motor for 10th scale? They are allowed by ROAR you know.

emaxxnitro 10.07.2009 05:03 PM

wow i likes!

Also coming. I didn't post a picture of the 1307 and 1309 motors, both of which are in prototyping now.

Will the 1717 series use 3mm or 4mm mounting screws?

I been asking steve neu to make a 13 series for a bit now, he did do a 14 series, but its just a smaller diameter (outside) can. What will be the KV's (hopefully a 3500)?

himalaya 10.08.2009 04:04 AM

Any power spec available now? around 2KW continuous?

Should I ask that? so far the 2650&2200 don't have a power spec after one year sale(have to go to similar neus for some numbers but neu doesn't seem to have a 17xx series).

Wow, looks like a nice lineup. Cant believe I didn't see this until page 3. Things move quick around here. Now I just need that production Mamba pro.

Patrick,

What's that polished silver motor doing behind the big one?

bruce750i 10.08.2009 09:17 AM

I knew Patrick would take care of us. Thanks for the inside info!:yipi:

Ps. Need any more beta testers?:mdr:
