I'm in, gonna get one fer sure.
TC4 team drifter 4sale

Cain 10.09.2009 10:10 AM

need to see what exactly Ofna / Jammin is doing with there's, but, if the class is here I may get this too. My last outing with the Traxxas E-revo actually was quite good.

FG101C 10.09.2009 10:37 AM

+1 on wanting to see the Jammin. I really like this slash and getting parts would be easy. My problem is I already bought a motor MM and baterries for the Jammin.

Cain 10.09.2009 10:39 AM

I am hoping the layout of the Jammin and Ofna is similar to the hyper 9E to bring the electronics as close to the center as possible.

This traxxas does look nice though. Could get more manufacturers off the fence to make some lower cost SCTs in 4wd configuration, and help them move some hopups too.

nitrostarter 10.09.2009 10:40 AM

Definitely in on this one. My G4 is already for sale...lol!!!!

Bondonutz 10.09.2009 11:14 AM

I'm hearing you boys about the Jammin' SC10 but the Slash 4X4 is gonna be a LOT lighter weight !!

brushlessboy16 10.09.2009 11:14 AM

I smell 8th scale tires, LST diffs and a MMM system in its future

Cain 10.09.2009 11:17 AM

Shot you an email Bondonutz. I think the Slash 4x4 will be lighter but, gearing may take care of any speed issues, and who knows, if this becomes a mod style class, anything goes!

still not sure why quite a few people want to drop a MMM in there. With the MM Pro on the way, other than a 6S setup requirement, not sure where the need is.

Bondonutz 10.09.2009 11:36 AM

You shot my email, what it do to you ? Havn't received it yet, maybe soon ?

I like the aspect of the much lighter Slash, should be much easier on parts when taking the big tumbles and hard hits that we all know will happen.
I have a Lghtning Stadium 10, Very similar to the CRT.5 and the dam thing weighs 6+lbs,tough or not thats a lot of weight for the little parts.
I think the reasoning for 6s is the speed freak in some of these fellas, and or Effeciantcy.

Cain 10.09.2009 11:51 AM

strange then? Email I sent was to get your address and paypal email address for the shipping return cost to send you. Got the mudguards in, should have it ready to ship Sunday or monday I am thinking.

Either way about the Slash 4x4, its going to be nice to see some more 1/10 wheelers out there!

That is exactly were I think my mmpro is going to end up. That stock radio is going to have to go too.

Cain 10.09.2009 12:10 PM

If I can get a hold of a traxxas 2.4Ghz system, I wouldn't mind trying to get it to work with the Nomadio React. If it works, one less thing to chuck.

sabongi 10.09.2009 12:35 PM

anyone thought of converting a 4x2? I have 2 of them, is it viable?
Importing a slash here would break my bank :D

BrianG 10.09.2009 12:52 PM

Yeah, you'd have to either do a TON of mods to get the power to the front. Or just use another trans assy on the front too.

Cain 10.09.2009 01:14 PM

If I was going to do a conversion to make myself a short course truck 4x4, you could look at the academy SBV2 as a platform. All you would need to machine really would be a chassis, upper deck, and longer drive shaft. the parts from the RT4GP truck can bolt on to the vehicle, and the 12mm hex is used front and rear.

Would probably make a decent light-weight conversion. For maximum durability (at the expense of weight), pretty much any 8th scale buggy makes a good platform too.

superek4 11.15.2009 08:01 AM

I remembered seeing a guy here putting a sct cover on a 1/8 BL buggy.

Where's the thread n how he did the mounting?

magman 11.15.2009 09:48 AM

my friend wants one of these in the worst way...I told him to make sure he has many extra parts in hand....especially if running o 3or 4s

superek4 11.15.2009 09:55 AM

i thought the shell will protect alot on these cars?

Sorry may bad! I actually redid a BL Ofna Ravenger for my friend recently and put on a traxxas slash truck body. Fit great and I used these mounts...and they worked great!

Wow, chunky !
I main reason I'm electing to purchase the Slash, it should be a lot lighter, hopefully ?

Your truck looks great, have you had it on the track yet, happy with it ?

That is w/ the 2s 5k hard shell lipo ;) The weight and truggy'ish setup is what will keep this thing 2-3 sec faster easy out on the race track over the slash 4x4. It won't be close iMO, traxxas suspension blows on the slash 2x the rustler and all others and they elected to not upgrade it so.. that is my main reason for going w/ the ofna. The fact it has all aluminum to start is nice as well :) These two trucks will be dumped in the same class so be careful which you pick!

Bondonutz 11.27.2009 02:47 PM

Agreed and well stated, I don't think I'll be club racing my Slash. Trying to concentrate on getting my skills honed with my buggy for now. I doubt I'll be ready for 2 classes next year ?
Definitely something to consider. But in TRX defense the 4X4 Slash should be much better than the 2wd Slash with more weight, longer shocks and the lower skid design seem to be tighter up to the chassis than the 2wd. Don't know for sure ?

nitrostarter 12.09.2009 03:47 PM

For those of you that havent seen this yet:
